Are normies right, is it better to flex and enjoy life now?Just met an old friend who was wearing a Canada Goose jacket and driving a BMW. But he told me he works in a shitty job and lives paycheck to paycheck but he seems happier than me who saves like a scrooge.

>>62018960Luxury cars aren't super expensive if they're more than 5-10 years old. People get too hung up on the make of a car instead of the year. People financing a 2020 subaru are spending more than people buying a used 2015 BMW.
>>62019013you gotta luxurymax and go buy some confiscated drug dealer's bentley gt for like 20k. that's stealth wealth while still making retarded/wise financial decisions.
You'll regret it either way. Such is life
>>62018960Imagine the smell, sharp pungent notes of onion with middle layers of exotic French cheese, with decadent wafts of Coco Chanel
Once both you and him are 60 years old with sore bones and failing health you'll be happier than him because you'll be able to afford to do things and he'll still be working a shitty job. You'll look back on the time when you and him were young and healthy and you'll think "man, he was stupid, I'm glad I spent my youth working hard so I can finally enjoy my life"
>>62019013You can get the entire engine resealed on a Subaru for the cost of 3 oil changes on the BMW. Buying a European car is like buying a luxury dog, the upfront cost is peanuts compared to maintenance.
>>62018960I save like a scrooge because I enjoy sitting on a park bench or on the beach, which is cheap as fuck.
>>62019095This except when I’m 40yo instead of 60yo
>>62019112I recommend gardening. Not a joke. It's extremely satisfying.
>>62019232Been there, done that. Too lazy. I love sun bathing though.
>>62020006I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
>>62019600>I love cancer rays>>62019232>I recommend poking around in the dirt
I actually dated a huge titted blond girl who looked like straight out of hentai manga and she had a master’s on fashion. She chose cheaper off-brand clothes for me that actually fitted me really well and made me look good. Really made me realise how much of a cope branded fashion is when even 10/10s would rather have their men wear cheaper clothing that actually fits them really well.
>>62019095My dad felt like a depressed bum when he was forced to retire at 68 (law for teachers). Maybe if you’re some outcast loser, you won’t want to stay healthy and work as long as possible.
>>62019095Life in your 60s is not as enjoyable though. Most oldfags regret not having enjoyed their youth more. Also, most people that focus on saving end up with way more money than they actually need and start giving it out to their kids and grandkids. When you are in your 20s and 30s life seems way more expensive than it actually is because of the house, but once it is paid off, you can live comfortably on a near poverty level income unless you are really bug unto travelling and shit.
>perpetual poverty because you keep buying things you can’t afford to make people think you’re richYeah OP, that does sound like a great idea. Go for it.
>>62020377When you're old you'll be spending a lot on your health though
>>62020006>>62020099Raymond Thoughts and MindHang in there and find God and a hobby.
>>62020625that guy is fucking all levels of pathetic
>>62020396No I won't >t. EUBut even then it is still not as much as people think. Also, if you have kids they will surely chip in unless they hate your guts and, if you don't have them, you might as well just accept death if you get diagnosed with a gigacancer or somethibg like that when you are old. Serious health issues will leave you so fucked up that Both my grandpas went through long cancer treatments and both said that they wouldn't have agreed to getting treated if they didn't have a family they still wanted to watch grow for a bit longer. One of them even refused treatment the second time he got diagnosed in his late 70s because the ammount of suffering to just lengthen his years of decaying health a bit more was just not worth it. Ironically enough the cancer spread slower than anticipated and he made it into his early 80s.You only really need big money at those ages if your health is going to shit, but those ages are only really enjoyable if your health stays good.Staying active and sleeping properly are probably better retirement plans than saving big yet people focus on the latter because of how capitalized and monetized our culture has become and our fixation on extending lifespans while disregarding the quality of those years.
>>62020694>Serious health issues will leave you so fucked up thatContinuing to live for no particular reason stops being worth it*
>>62020691For sure. That image is literally him.
>>62020625>Find GodThen why'd not recommend the Bible?
>>62020694>heh I won't have any serious issues until I'm 70You're in for a surprise
>>62020300Pics
>>62020262>timmy problemsSorry saar. Next time be born indian.
I plan to loan Max and just figure out ways to max out credit cards when I'm at that age. What they gonna do? Put me in jail at 75 when I'm about to die. Cool free housing. Idgaf
FIRE and Dave Ramsey type shit is kind of a meme. There's no point to spending $0 until you're 60 and wasting your younger years being a bum for no reason However if you ball too hard you'll be a broke bitch when you're 60, which would also suck. So you should have some kind of balance. Think about what's actually worth spending money on.
>>62018960>met an old friend who was wearing a Canada Goose jacket and driving a BMWthe real world sounds really crazy>my old friend wears a jacket and drives a car, should I do the same to seem happier?lolif you're asking questions like these, the golemification is nearing its completion, you have bigger issues than having a less expensive car than another golem
>>62019020>buy some confiscated drug dealer's bentley gt for like 20kIs that actually possible?
>>62018960No they're wrong.Hedonism is not a viable long-term solution. That's what niggers do and it obviously doesn't work.Meaning is a viable long-term solution.
