Is ERY a good proxy for a Put on XLE?
My plan was to buy a Put on XLE, and sell around June/August (ptofit from the guaranteed price crash), but my stupid app doesn't allow Puts.
So, ERY profits inversely to XLE, thus why not buy into ERY now, and sell around June, as a sort of "Put Proxy"?

Yes that will work. Why do yiu think there is going to be an energy crash. You just be referring to oil only

>that will work
Is there a decay concern with ERY, given its day-to-day nature?
I'm worried i'll lose on a hold.

Read this and decide for yourself if the technicals are right for you. LETF volatility decay reacts differently across securities. Within your time frame you should be fine
