You bought the dip, right anons? I bought several peace dollars for 42 bucks each
>>
>>62033467
if its big enough to bring gold prices down, it'll be big enough to wreck havoc in a large area, thus ruining the economy and bring gold prices up
maybe in the long term the prices will go down, but first it will surge
>>
Odds of the housing market crashing when silver goes back up?
I'm gradually holding more cash just to pay a down payment and get a better deal on (((financing))), I'm just starting to pile up a few thousand dollars cash while still stacking, but basically I don't want to miss out on the next opportunity.

Will rental properties even be profitable if the housing market crashes, like will they still be able to be 1,100 per month + utilities for a 2 bedroom?
>>
>>62033467
>asteroid large enough to leave tons of gold to recover
Assuming the thing wasn't 100% Au it would be VERY big to leave that much gold to recover and we'd therefore have much bigger problems to worry about.
>>
>>62033489
1100 for 2 bed room? where do you fuckin live
i love when people talk about how expensive housing is and it's like 1/3rd as much as what it costs in my area
>>
>>62033552
Rural new york.
That's just for a 2br 1ba apartment, an actual standalone house would be a few hundred more, + add in utilities and you probably are looking at 1500 a month for a standalone house.
But for a multi-unit that's the going rate here, give or take 100.

And mortgages on many places are in the 800-1100 dollars per month range if you can get the (((financing))), our place we're in now is 1,200 a month for a 5 bedroom 2 bathroom move in ready.

I'll just throw in a screenshot for anti-bullshitting measure.
Believe it or not that's not really cheap because there are no jobs here, sure if you have a good job it sounds amazing but literally owning one multi-family rental could double a rural NYer's income.

Low, tbqh. If silver rises, residential housing is probably supported. That said, a credit squeeze is likely on the horizon, and who knows what metal will do during that time. Likely goes down but idk Pluto retrograde in Aquarius (May–Oct) and Saturn enters Aries.......

I'll definitely buy some. I got these today and I'm planning on using them tomorrow at a food stall. Smaller denominations are always good; I'm looking to buy silver in the smallest forms I can to use as actual currency. Many people around here take it; so many hippies
>>62033634
I'll buy redbacks when they become available, but these are what people are accepting. Them being priced at twice the cost of gold contained is pretty steep, but it isn't too bad a price for bringing them into circulation. There are worse things to spend money on.

I don't think it is, many people will literally never ever save up 10,000 dollars in anything so even if houses dropped to 40k they wouldn't get close to it, and there'll be no financing in a crash.
But said people would still be paying rent probably, actually not a lot of people lose their jobs in depressions relatively speaking, said rental property could be a small lifeboat possibly.

I am assuming this is true. For one thing I can't see them letting us take a huge amount of money out of the system without repercussions. The second thing is they don't want you to trade silver for goods. Tax solves this for normalfags but I am starting to think the anons who believe in the underground trade are right. That silver will still be used to barter regardless of what a government tries to dictate.

So it's not just about discrediting people but also making people reliant on their great cattle system.

I've got the opportunity to purchase an entire set of 1976 Montreal Olympics coins (28 coins total) for around C$2500.

My goal is to get to 100 oz. stacked. The silver content for the set is around 30.352 oz. and would bring me up to just under 46 oz. total at a cost basis of C$67.49/oz.

It'd be silly not to buy this right? What's a good ratio of junk silver to bullion to stack?

The price is fair. I might try to get it closer to $2400. However if it comes in the case with certificates it's a good price. My understanding is they are not rare but the market for them is steady. Having all of them in a nice display might make them worth a little more to the right buyer.

If you have nothing invested I reccomend waiting for the instability in prices to somewhat calm down a bit. Some people say that the best time to buy is today, but it's not always true as it depends on what you're looking for in gold.

It actually is as scary as every plebbitor says, or even worse, if you go to the One Stop (our corner store) in DA HOOD, but basically you can pick up where DA HOOD is extremely fast and just don't go there. If you do that it's a fairly nice little town, a little produce store I can walk to, a couple pizza places. You have to go a few miles down main street for big businesses but there's a decent amount of small ones left, I could hypothetically do all my needed shopping without walking more than a mile.

But they mean niggers when they say "scary", and yeah you just don't walk where they live. I've worked there fixing apartments and if it wasn't for work there's basically 1/4 of the town that's a no-go zone, no reason to go there and no desire to.
>>
>>62034425
watch out this pic will get a thread shut down
>t.polcel who’s seen it happen
>>
>>62034482
Why don't they create a walled "hood" for niggers and "scary" non-wanted-anywhere people and their blue-haired trustafarian goyim activists (who defend them at a distance)? That way we could live with normal people in a high-trust easy-going society. But no, pedos want to mix nogs everywhere to fuck with us. Literally.
>>
>>62034505
Well you simply do not go into said hood neighborhoods, and everyone knows you don't even dream of owning a house there.
You can actually see the street where every house turns into a mult-unit rental property and when you see this shift you know it's coon town. It practically is a walled area, these people never leave their hood and basically just walk to the one stop and back if they go anywhere, I rarely even see them in the sub shop 500 feet further down the road, it's out of their range / hood.

It's like they don't feel safe leaving either, seeing houses owned by people instead of rentals seems to scare them. The lowest housing cost in the state but they all rent and pay literally double what it would cost to buy a house here.

How long is that going to last? Mainstreet is bleeding while we are racking billions of dollars a day fighting a war (and destroying lots of silver in the process). The government already loses HALF of its tax receipts to interest alone.
This looks more like the lashings of a dying empire suffocating on the exponential nature of interest than it does some miraculous strength in the dollar.
All I know is in times like these it is the masses who bear the brunt. There will not be a savior who can come through and somehow magically make these debts go away and leave all the rest of us unscathed. With this in mind, the only course of action is to remove your money from the system and buy up scarce, valuable materials and hold them in your own possession. Anything you leave in the paper-ponzi will be taken by those closest to it. The courts won't be able to do a damn thing to help you either. You can get in line for the next decade waiting for justice.
Or you can be proactive and not be a willing victim of the fiat-fallout.

>I got these today and I'm planning on using them tomorrow at a food stall
Why tho? You paid a huge premium for that tiny amount of gold and you're already offloading them before they had the time to appreciate... just pay with FIAT.
Imho gold is meant to be held long term and never sold. If you could get them at spot it's one thing, but the concept itself of gold as a direct currency when the price isn't fixed like during the gold standard is just retarded imho.

It's the most important question. By what mechanism can we give the government money to spend it on a war machine blowing things up that allows them to repay the money plus interest?
Are we defying the laws of thermodynamics here? I want to apply this little accounting trick in my own life. I don't want to pay my bills. I want to lend the grocery store money and have them pay me back. How can we amplify this free-money machine?
My hunch is actually that ALL of the money I put into the financial system is actually being consumed/stolen and the inflows and outflows of money is effectively a managed ponzi scheme. That's why I prefer to just avoid the impossible promises made by our bankrupt government and insolvent banking systems.

Why can't boomers hoard something useless but pretty like gemeralds? Why does it have to be metals that are actually useful in science and technology?

This is why every single piece of scientific equipment is "price on request". The jew hates progress.

Usually when the price is stable for silver for 6ish months and gols doesn't have such wild daily swings. But if some new happening happens again you could be looking at more spikes and wishes of buying when you could. You've gotta make your own informed choices. Just never FOMO. If when you're purchasing some metals you feel undecided or feel like you better bite the bullet cause tomorrow the price might raise then you're FOMOing. Make an investment plan and once you bite the bullet stick to that.

Personally I only consider grading rarer coins that have numismatic value. I don't quite understand why people grade modern bullion but I do have some, just because I got them under melt. I wouldn't pay any premium for graded bullion, nor would I have bullion graded myself, because if you try to sell to a LCS they'll usually only offer melt value. At least my local stores anyway.

I suspect that when it starts going up again (so maybe within a year) it will top off around $250 or so.

This is based on the $120 peak being a "2008" style peak which is followed by a broad market crash. 2011's peak ended up more than doubling it from $20 to $50, though it tended to spend more time around $40.

What is interesting is that long term it stayed elevated from $15-20 whereas it was closer to $5 before the 2008 run up started, so long term the prices are likely to stick at elevated levels compared to where it was before, with the current "highs" being the area it sticks around long term.

Therefore I suspect that after it goes to $250 in maybe a year it will go back down to $100 or so and then stick around that level long term.

Therefore I think long term these prices are low even if they might go down a bit more first. If you bought the top in January you will probably get an exit point in a couple years or so, but you will probably need to take it once people start being in a similar emotional state as they were then.

If you are buying now I think this is a level where you don't need to worry about an exit strategy, because while it might go down some more, in a couple of years these prices will be considered quite low. In the long period after 2011 $14 was occasionally tested as it probed lower

I think though that the price could still fall some more, I'm just saying that in the long term it seems like $100 is going to be considered low.

This doesn't mean "$100 in two weeks" or anything, it is just that if you are going to hold it long term we are at a level where you can't just bury it or something rather than needing to think about where to sell.

I still think that people who bought for $120, while they should not sell now, should consider selling if it gets above $200 in a couple years, because I do think it is going to return to $100 at some point.

Something to note is that in a long term view the 2008 peak and crash essentially acts as the "bear trap" to the later 2011 "bull trap" if you follow that chart.

Where we are currently is we are approaching the 200 day moving average, so if things go identically there could be another violent crash downwards if we do fall below the moving average. (Though it isn't like everything is definitely being identical). I suspect though that if there is a violent leg downwards it might approach the 30s again. I think that 50s is more likely though because that was the previous highs in 2011 and 1980 so there will likely be a lot of buyers at that level meaning unless there is a serious economic catastrophe there won't be a liquidity crisis big enough to pierce below it.

So anyway what I'm saying is that we might be near the long term low price at the moment. That doesn't mean it won't go lower temporarily, but instead what I mean is that I think that in 5 years it would be rare to see prices lower than this.

I may jut be insane but it looks like the general pattern coming off from the all time high is repeating but miniaturized

If you recall the first bottom on February 1s was followed by second lower one on Feb 6. Then it didn't rise by as much and there was a bit of a bowl followed by a rise. Then it declined again and formed a bowl again.

The thing is I don't know if this pattern repeating means that the crash is going to repeat or if it means the crash is done.

For instance the bowl before the long term down trend failed around March 9th such that there is a little shelf before the decline. If our repeating pattern flow that then it should shoot up until it meets the downward slopping resistance line we have been bouncing under since mid march. If it does that there is a good reason to believe that it will repeat the downward fall one last time. If it doesn't and instead breaks that resistance w might be in new territory.

I guess we will know soon. If it is downwards then what I suspect is going to happen is that we might repeat the long term down trend but it will be miniaturized like how everything else was. Much like how the first pattern took a month to play out and has been miniaturized to 10 days, I suspect that the 10 day down trend will play out quicker so we might get to high 50s around the beginning of april when we meet the 200 day moving average.

On the flipside if we don't fall by April then there is a good chance that a new pattern instead of a repeating pattern is in the works.

I would have thought war would press it the fuck up, but then ofcourse I realize now the big players are selling gold to afford oil, I guess. I mean, this would be a perfect time to buy PMs but I'm sort of over-leveraged and I already have a 1/3 of my assets in physical, and I just got me a turbo warrant on oil in anticipation of the escalation of the war the next [14 days].

So yeah, it does not really matter, but, what the fuck guize?

I suspect the arab states hoarded physical gold and silver (remember that 1971 kg silver bar?), kikes got mad they stacked silver, attacked Iran and Iran attacked back the arab states.
This way the arab states have been indirectly punished for getting the physical silver.
And now they are liquidating it.
It literally shows how much they hate it when you get physical silver.

It's a double whammy from oil needing the petro dollar which is giving it a new lease on life from being cheap and the Iran War driving trade around certain stocks and commodities like oil sucking money from all other assets to speculate. As long as the strait of Hormuz issue isn't resolved at least, that will continue to happen but it also means for March contracts, the COMEX didn't run out. However, the fundamentals didn't change, the Chinese were buying hand over fist for silver and imported a ton. We're still likely to see shortage too. The only thing that is gradually letting up and going to impact premiums is that refiners apparently now are open enough to start allowing in minute amounts of 90% through. So I don't expect negative premiums to last long on it.

>>
>>62042571
>how come coins were better looking 2500 years ago?
this makes me wonder if they also had collectible coins back in the day
Im sure people collected coins if they came from important people like Alexander or Caesar even though there was no real sense of collecting these things back then since they where just regular coins at teh time and nothing special these people where so much larger than life even at the time of their reign that there would be some novetly to own them back then
>>
>>62042601
>this makes me wonder if they also had collectible coins back in the day
Of course, coin collecting is as old as coinage itself, Pliny and Plutarch already were mentioning it in their studies, Caesar himself was an avid coin collector.
In Rome you had special limited mintages to celebrate victories over various tribes, weddings, constructions of aqueducts, ports or coliseums, returning of legions after a campaign, and even new techs on ships. They already carried a premium back then.
