It's much easier to emulate than innovate.. and if your starting point is "very low productivity", there is a lot of low hanging fruits.
yet, for some reason, these fruits don't get picked?

It does look like this isn't some inherent economic function, if you look at those countries under $3000 in 1950.
They ended up all over the place, Singapore, South Korea, Haiti?
I think you are right, that the people/system in charge is what determines growth (for poor countries).

if india had the population density of the united states it would have 90% less people. I can't believe the west forced all those poor indians to have like 15 children for 3 generations

>try to get into any industrial sector, compete with gigacorporations and other countries that already have moneyhax
>if you tax the rich, they will escape to first world countries
>if you invest in investigation to develop your industry, first world countries are already investing with much more money, more people, better infrastructure, and with succulent offers to steal the best investigators
>because of immigration facilitations from low birth rate first world countries, the best people in general tend to emmigrate
>>
>>62036831
adding to this, I genuinely think you literally can't escape third world status in the current day. maybe a hundred years ago it was possible, but not now that the world order is already established

I don't know the cause, but i agree with the effect. Don't think we will see an African century - ever. The rich becomes richer, a widening gap, both domestically and between countries.

The graph i wanted to show was one of cumulative growth rate since the 90s, I couldn't find it so i posted this instead. But that is even more "money breeds money".

GDP growth in dollar? That's just inflation.

thinking that policy and global politics is everything is midwit. culture is just an important to a country's development. bad culture=bad country.
>>
>>62037069
The rich have been becoming richer, but also stateless.
The big winner is China, and they don't have this problem of a parasitic, psychothic "elite".
>>
>>62037947
thinking that the state of a country is monocausal is outright brainlet, and also ignores the origin of a... bad culture, whatever that lefty shit means

How the FUCK Iran is better than 1950s
I thought 20 years of compete embargo fucked them up

You don't need a good culture to have productive factories. Posting non-sequitors is bad for your mental health anon. If someone in a 3rd world nation had the money to start a factory they'd just move to the states and grift there instead, as is the economic policy of the states
>>
>>62036497
its weird how countries with more western/christian values make more money and have happier and lifes. really makes you think. like dayum son

>>62037947
Yes.>>62039396
To have successful industries you need guarantees of property rights, a fair legal system and at least 90IQ workers; disqualifying the entire continent of Africa and large parts of the ”global south”
>>
Anon you know exactly what you're doing. The main factor is obviously niggeriness.
>>
>>62039629
In africa you buy your own property rights, warlords etc. There are two paths of least resistance in that scenario:
>Slave-operated diamond/gold mine (why pay your workers)
>Move to the states and deal drugs
Property rights are much more economical in Africa than they are in the states (taxes), and obviously there's no worker's rights to pay for. 90iq is more than most workers need, and higher than the average american rural plant worker. Luckily the US taxpayer is a cuck, as a result factories only open in the states with government backing (tax breaks, cheap loans, etc) which gives them the property rights for free.

>Complete embargo
Ah yes, they don't have massive trade with China, how do people as retarded as you even manage to use the internet
>>
>If you're poor
>just get rich
