I bought a house and im planning to buy a bunch of stuff online to prep for the future (food/solar panels/durable electronics) all of this stuff needs to be stored and packaged and installed properly and i dont have the time. Im considering hiring someone that can live at the house and use everything however they want as long as they help me prep. Does anyone have experience with a similar situation? how do i avoid meth heads and thieves and losers?
>>62060571I'll do it if there's free wifi and you have a hot wife or daughter
>>62060605i'll join if this guys hot
you avoid meth heads by paying higher than meth head rates...but you also said handyman, which translates directly to meth head in most languages.
and in general, that's just a tough situation. probably shouldnt fall for the off grid meme if you can't do it yourself. someone who actually understands how to set this stuff up right wouldn't even want the liability, but some idiot who stripped his first wire would easily be dunning krueger enough to do it.
Oh my god do you guys think if I do the handyman spot that she'll fuck me?
You're gonna need a husband apparently.You faggot

>>62060821Pretty much this OP. You need to learn how to do all of this shit yourself, buying high quality tools and knowing how to use them is a part of the prep process. You need to be able to maintain your shit after its up as well, so basically stop being a faggot and start learning how to do shit. Im actually doing a somewhat similar thing myself currently, got serious about expanding my tools and capabilities about a year ago and ive done some awesome shit and saved tons of money on labor costs, probably at least 20k
>>62060956Well that’s not very friendly
>>62060571You could hire a housekeeper that could do that. Get a housekeeper in the door and have her do that shit.

>>62060571That's called a husband.
>>62060571dang tthats the exact kind of job i want and would be so good at but i dont trust some weird 4chan landlord not to drug the orange juice and rape me
ive been a prepper since the mid 2000s if you want any tips or advice just ask here OP. a lot will depend on teh limitations by your property size and environment and how covert you are trying to be. if you have some space i would recommend setting up some aquaponics and farming tilapia for a sustainable food source of protein. also chickens and guinea pigs or rabbits. if you have the space a few goats and hogs and even a dairy cow would be great additions. keep in mind animal husbandry takes constant upkeep though if you want your animals to stay alive. you cant just fuck off for a week on vacation or stay over at some roasties house after a bar crawl for the night. learn how to make your own compost its quite easy and start with a small garden. potatoes are the easiest thing to grow and generate high caloric content for relatively little input and they can be farmed densely without much space. make sure you diversify your crops. keep at least one years worth of long term storage food for emergenceis and suppliement those stocks with your fresh produce and animal products from your garden or farm
>>62066668Ooooof
pic rel to help you get started on potato growing. remember your hierarchy of needs - water, food, shelter, security. water can be difficult to store because its heavy and bulky but it should be your top priority. try to keep at least a months supply of clean drinking water but also set up rain barreles or work with your enviornment if you have a pond or stream nearby you should make note of that and stockpile treatment options to make water potable. for food, get yourself a bunch of mylar 1 and 5 gallon bags and oxygen absorbers and start a 1 year supply of rice, beans, grains, pasta, freeze dried meats and similar shelf stable long term storage foods. try to budget for 50% more calories per day than you eat right now so you have extra in case you need to feed other people or animals or something gets damaged. store in rodent proof containers in strategic areas around your property to acount for threats such as storm flooding or temperature swings and humidity. stock canned goods. blah blah you get the picture. honestly im gonna stop here because you are a 1pbtid and this shit is soemthing that would take pages to explain in detail. just start watching youtube and putting in hours get yourself a basic tool set, an electric drill, impact driver, nailgun, and jig saw and you can handle like 99% of all basic woodworking and plumbing crafts.
>>62066916I swear a tiny bit of brain power and you can build this without needing screws.
>>62060571>food/solar panels/durable electronicsI mean, at least for the solar panels thing, you can ask someone to do the calculations and install thme for you. hell, you can buy packaged systems.
>>62066916This doesn't work and is a meme. Hilling up soil is to prevent taters going green, not to increase yield.. These potato boxes dont work the way people claim and actually can be a negative thing.t: farmerboy
>>62066916>>62071073what is it even supposed to do? don't plants need light directly from the sun? why not use some kind of netting instead?
>>62071584>>62071073it does work and i do it every year. after you get the plants growing about a foot or so above ground you keep adding soil (grass clippings or hay works too) just under the top leaves. the potato keeps growing and you give more room for roots to form. if you arent able to increase yield by raising the level of ground cover on the plant then you are not growing an indeterminate variety. i only plant indeterminate species for max yield in my small suburban yard

>>62060571It just depends on what you are prepping for. I have only had it work with very close people. I mean a spouse or brother like person in your life. You WILL end up fighting over how and the way things need to be done. The fact you havent even established how long or what you are trying to prep for is a dead give away that YOU are going to be the problem in the project.
>>62060571Ask your husband to do it.
