How do you handle yourself on your employer’s chat (Teams, Slack, etc.)?
>>62060593i pretend to be a guy that wouldnt say anything weird because im too old to say anything weird
>>62060601Reasonable.
>>62060593im unemployed
>>62060593poorly
>>62060593I say weird stuff aloud to coworkers constantly but only post type related stuff on teams.
>>62060601>im too old to say anything weirdHow old?
>>62060593I'm not in one and don't want to be in one.
>>62060593I don't say anything or put emojis on anything, unless it's directly @ me.
I can't wait to leave my current job if I get the one I applied forThen there will be a few >anon has left the chatMessages and nothing more
>>62060593my boss is 88 years old and if i send him a text he pretends he doesn't know how to read it (he does)
Say as little as possible. Trying to score points on these is schoolyard stuff.
>>62061538anything over 29 is old
>>62060593I refuse to use themI have email and
>>62062060*and they can use thatCandleja
>>62060601all the old guys at my job don't give a fuckonly the young ones are corpo cucks
so I'm a wagie, but a self employed one so I don't have to deal with this gay shit, how do you cope with this? a fucking work chat?
Say as little as possible.People post so much incriminating shit in things like that it's unreal.
>>62060593I only msg my dispatch when I need something specific, and I keep it brief and to the point since he's a decent guy and he's got several other trucks to manage.
>>62060593Our team mostly uses it to communicate work related stuff so whenever I see something that concerns me I just leave a thumbs up and carry on with my day and sometimes post updates of my own.
>>62060593I dont say NIGGER and other stuff in general channels of course, but I work with people who are normal, in a country where offensive humour and racism are still a norm, so groups and private chats? Yes, in some cases, they might as well be a 4chan board
>>62060593im the guy that says "6, 7" even though I am highly senior programmer that is hot headed about meaningless little mistakes on PRs
>>62062849PRs are, without a doubt, my utterly most hated part about modern development
>>62062053Shiiiiiiiiieeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, im 28 what the fuck do i make of this ? Fuck, im about to turn 29 next month, how do i capitalize on my still 28 year old status ?
>>62060593not at all, I call in sick for the forseeable future.
>>62060593I don't talk to anyone about anything other than work. I keep it short, friendly, and polite. I don't have any work friends and don't want any, I have cordial working relationships with colleagues.
Back when I worked I refused to get a smartphone so I avoided most of that bullshit. My phone couldn't handle group messages, literally would crash my nokia brick. If I went back to work today I'd insist on a company phone if they want me to use it for anything more than phonecalls, and if they want me to participate in humiliation rituals they need to be part of my employment contract and I'd expect to be compensated for it.
>>62060593>Status: Away
>>62060593Strictly business, however I do send emojis or occasionally crack a joke or two in order to ease up tension every once in a while. Only with coworkers I feel safe around do I send shitposts, but even then shitposting is strictly safe for work or esoteric in-jokes.
