Stupidly I left the rest in, thinking "if it only 2x from here I'll never have to worry about money again!" Then the market ended up being far more brutal with alts than I expected.

It was the easiest money making opportunity of the past 3 years. A token, on Solana, launched buy the incoming administration and tweeted about from official admin accounts. You had 72 hours to make money off of it. If you saw it when it first appeared (and how could you possibly have missed it, it was everywhere) you had 24 hours to dump every cent into it for essentially a guaranteed 2x-4x. It was an amazing gift (and grift) from the new President. I think the people that still cope & seethe about it are 1) libtards & foreigners (who gives a shit) and 2) idiot childish "right wingers" that could never read Trump, and thought Trump cared about them personally. If you know Trump, you knew this thing was going to dump eventually, but you also knew that he was giving you an opportunity to make money. This is literally 100% of the things he does. People get so invested in the things he does and then take it personally when he does it his own way and not theirs. It's all egoism. If you can put your own ego aside and view Trump for what he is, you profit during Trump administrations. Otherwise you become mentally ill and your whole personality becomes gnashing of teeth and seething.

And while it was a local top for Solana, SOL had previously reached the same price back in November 2021, and then nearly bounced off the same local top in September 2025So OP is objectively incorrect. If you shorted BTC when you saw Trump token, you would've gotten BTFO and liquidated. If you shorted SOL when you saw Trump token, you would've had to close your shorts or you'd get BTFO and liquidated in a few short months
