I don't understand it. Don't people just default to Amazon/Walmart if they're going cheap? If theyr'e going cheaper than that, won't they look for the lowest price possible? How do drop shippers make money?

i think part of the scam for some of them is you have a really flashy website with good buzzwordy copy and talk about things like ethical sourcing and sustainability. then you call up your media girlies to get the product included on "best of stupid worthless product X" lists in online publications. then you send them the same chinese bullshit with your sticker on it. i'm not really sure how it works though. my guess is it doesn't. at least not for long.

I don’t know much about it but I think the only way to profit today is to find really niche type shit that isn’t easy to get online and so it’s actually a lot of work because you have to know about the niche subject matter pretty intensely and understand what people want and where to get it.
