Owning physical precious metals is retarded it will get stolen

>The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a New Jersey man for scamming an elderly Tangipahoa Parish resident out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold.

Nigam Bhatt, 25, has been booked on extortion charges. Bhatt lives in Parsippany, New Jersey, and is in the U.S. on a work visa from India.

Over the weekend, detectives in Collin County, Texas, contacted TPSO about an investigation they were conducting into a gold scam operation. The scheme involves victims being contacted and told their bank account and social security benefits are frozen and can only be released with an exchange of gold.

>The scheme involves victims being contacted and told their bank account and social security benefits are frozen and can only be released with an exchange of gold.
TBF who the fuck believes this shit? At the very worst you just have to wait a month to see that your SocSec gibs got deposited just like normal. That's assuming you're bedridden and can't go to an ATM to check whether your card got turned off, and then if it doesn't work you walk into the bank branch and demand to speak to a manager.

Fun story: 21 months ago on Friday July 5th, I went to the shitty credit union I used to have an account at and tried to withdraw some cash so I could do some fun stuff over the weekend. Note that July 5th was not a "federal bank holiday"; every place was supposed to be open. Other banks were open. The shitty credit union had a handwritten note taped to its front door on an otherwise-plain sheet of paper saying, and I quote, "Closed due to unforseen circumstances". Yes, they misspelled unforeseen.

I drove around to the back and tried their ATM. No funds. I went to a completely different credit union (which was open) and tried to use their ATM. It wouldn't work for me either. I went inside and asked if they could help me with their ATM but they said to contact my credit union.

At this point, unsurprisingly, I was moderately freaked out, because I was guessing that the credit union had imploded and I might have to wait weeks or months before the feds mopped it up and I could access any of my cash.

I drove over to one of the actual BANKS in my area, stuck my card into the ATM, and was able to withdraw $200, yay. Got hit with a fee for it, but fuck, at least I got some of my money out.

Next Monday I go back to my (ex-)credit union to see if there was anything else. It was open as usual. I went in and asked the teller WTF. She explained that last Friday was a nice day and everyone decided to make it a four-day weekend so no one showed up to work.
>>
>>62097104
Anyway, I went over to Chase, was promised by their Executive Vice President In Charge Of Helping Random Poor People Open Accounts that they would never pull that sort of shit, opened an account there, closed my account at the shitty credit union, and life is ok now.
>>
>>62097118
>Executive Vice President In Charge Of Helping Random Poor People Open Accounts
Just to note, everyone at a bank is an Executive Vice President of something. Your random newly hired first job out of high school teller is an Executive Vice President Of Teller Operations #5.

Wait until you see the reverse. The eagle loses details in its feathers, the circle around the 4chan symbol isn't a perfect circle and I'm not sure why it wasn't proof like inside the circle either. I'm thinking weak strike as well. One thing about minty I like is his willingness to post what the mint has accepted and anons can talk about details missed or things that should be changed. Most anons didn't want the date, making it seem like Apu died. One particular anon pointed out the eagle looks the other way on a RM and it was changed in the renderings but the anon who made the coin took none of the suggestions and just submitted the original mock up. I would have bought a bunch if he was more transparent and up to changes, but alas here we are.

Suggestions were taken. I made the decision to keep the dates as they were after careful consideration from the whole discussion, can't please everyone on that one, but I'm glad the dates stayed. There were several things that were considered from those threads but essentially you're right the submitted design was almost exactly the original as the designer created it. The one I originally saw, hoped was getting made, and when I found out it wasn't, got it made with the help of many folks in here through creative input, encouragement, and participating in the pre-sale.

Friend 2 has the US Capitol round - was there with me on J6. Friend 3 has the BTC one, we both got into investing together. Shouldn't really have to explain this to a pmgbro, but one of the advantages of physical money is that it's private, (mostly) untraceable and uncensorable. Every time you use a card someone gets cucked out of a % and the banks get more information on you that they can sell or have hacked.

Prices are the best in Europe, but they don't inform you of tarnished coins and their customer service is terrible. They still owe me 10 oz Libertads from 2 months ago.

If some euro-anons know any other place to get silber or gold at good prices, I'd be happy to know. The only one that had decent prices was metalmarket from poland, but their premiums are insane now.

Bros I just keep looking at land and seeing that I COULD potentially buy it and start planting fruit trees and berry bushes, but I'd have to sell my stack.
Ultimately I'll wait for it to get even cheaper but in the future I feel I'll be tempted into selling in order to get a small piece of undeveloped land that I run some u-pick flower / fruit on.

I always buy from/sell to Heubach, probably the most trusted metals dealer in Bavaria.
Just dropping his name and a price made another dealer 2 hours away instantly match his price, not even checking it.
Never had any problems, good prices, legit business, etc.
>>
>>62103233
nah no dents, some minor scuffing at worst. I adjusted the pic to make the face pop so they may look worse than they are. Above the A at 12 o’clock is the reeding and it looks more like a minting flaw than a dent under the loupe, it actually has the same appearance in a couple spots but you can’t tell from the angle of my pic + light position

The "Reichskriegsflagge" (On the sea. On land there are "Fahne"/"Fahnen") I only saw one in a museum (You might check in military auctions). I only own a cheap copy with a print error on the eagle wing I got as a giveaway when my "Skinhead" music CDs parcel came decades ago. Also own a BRD Fahne too, I used when I was at Bundeswehr, it also 1x was lifted before our company for flag practice, as no one had one (The Sergant had an USA flag with a MACK truck on it, so less usable, so they asked around and...), just me. ... Wir wollen das Reich. ... Maybe today I chech my local coin store for new chepies, was not there a few months, they where closed. Tomorow fleamarkets in my region. let´s go hunting and collecting.

Remember, the government will get more and more desperate in its grasping for wealth as the ship sinks. One of the benefits of PMs is that they are out of reach of the usual government mechanisms for theft. Land is not. In the final days, property taxes, foreclosures, and outright confiscations of assets will peak. I would suggest holding the stack until the end of the current corrupt power structure, then buy land at a discount.
>>
>>62103649
Paper is a promise from people you don't know, people who don't care about you, people who would gladly take everything you have and tell you to fuck off if they could get away with it. Paper is a promise from those people you don't know and can never locate that they will give you real wealth that they control at the exact moment when real wealth is at its premium. That is what is wrong with paper.
>>
>>62103668
True, the same can be said for tokens. I feel more inclined to trust Larry Fink than poojesh though
>>
>>62103649
If you use it as a means to get more fiat money that, in the future, you'll use to buy real metals, then go for it. I am not an extremist. I am myself investing in paper silver and miners, although the great majority of the metal i own is physical.
>>
>>62103649
>Wait what’s wrong with paper again?

Coin merchants dont make 30% profit if you buy SLV and GLD,,,pay up paypig!
>>
>>62103314
Yeah, it's just hard to part with any of the stack once you've stacked it. Plus I feel it would appreciate more than any possible land besides land used for a profitable business.
>>62103657
True. My plant was more or less to plant a bunch of berry bushes and do u-picks to get my tax money back at least, but I also fear this would cause them to raise my taxes and write my trees / bushes as "improvements" they can tax on, and then come in and demand that I follow regulations and pay fees for... planting trees and bushes and flowers.
Half the reason I haven't done it, I just don't trust them to not steal my shit outright.

But a new property will pop up soon in this aging society, merely 2 more years I expect many more properties up for sale.
