Honestly I have to admit that I'm kind of giving up on following and trying to understand the Iran conflict by now. There's so much noise and conflicting information that it starts to cause fatigue. It probably is part of the point and intentional, but I just cannot deny it. I read about Iran negotiating, then not negotiating directly, then cutting all negotiations, then agreeing to ceasefire. Then there are multiple version of different agreements being talked about/released. The threats/motivations/direction being constantly readjusted and changed. At one point it's pre-emptive strike, at some it's regime change, at some it's to stop Iran developing nuclear weapons, with the goal being to sign an agreement, then to take their enriched uranium, then to just cripple their infrastructure. Next the Hurmuz doesn't matter and high oil prices are good for the US, US can close/open Hormuz at any time, then Trump threatens Iranians to open the Hormuz. There will be some invasion of one of the islands, then there will be bombing of basic infrastructure instead. At one point the strait is open, then it's closed, then Iran wants payments in crypto. I don't know anymore. I think I'll call it quits now. I'll just see whether the line will go up or down next, though my guess is that the line will go down and/or stagnate from now for the foreseeable future.
