Where does money actually come from?
>>62104155Paper money is based on trust. Gold standard is a lot like communism, it’s been tried before and failed.
>>62104155Work. We use money to replace the barter system. Money basically works like a ledger, so we don't have to run around town trying to find the products we have for the products that we can trade for the products we need. All money is a ledger system. FYI: Bitcoin is the hardest money known to man.
>>62104155its created by interest. you borrow $100 and owe 3% a year. you owe $3 out of no where.
>>62104155>gov passes a budget, they want to spend more than they collect in taxes>sell bonds to the federal reserve for the difference>fed buys bonds with freshly created money to cover the deficitthat's why money is debt, it's backed by bonds at the treasury and trust in the system. that and the fact that you need to use it to pay taxesall money starts and ends at a bank. you take a loan, money is created. you pay it off, the money is destroyed.
>>62104181OP didn't say "US Dollars", keep up.
>>62104186op didnt say buttcoin either but here you are... 10 years late to btc still hoping to make it.
>>62104155Money is a collective hallucination, it comes from your connection to god and your connection to others. No one person can define what money is because its impossible. The only way to define money is through two people agreeing that it is. You could argue that contracts are the only real form of money.
this book covers the basics. it gets a bit conspiracy theory at times but the basics are all there
>>62104155quick, is this a random pennsylvanian woman or bjork?
>>62104155Power. And power is gained through might. It all comes down to violence in the end... that and the will to use it.
>>62104155From production.
>>62104155money comes from the settlement of debt that can't be agreed on via barter. The origins of money lay in ending blood feuds.Read David Graeber
people give it to you if you tell them what they want to hear. sergey figured this out
>>62104182>fed buys bonds with freshly created money to cover the deficitSo money actually comes from the federal reserve. They create it for themselves and lend the government as much as it needs?
>>62104155From trees.Money is paper and paper is wood and wood is pieces of a tree.
I fell for the gold is money meme. I worked out alright.
Some wagie literally sends Jerome an email saying >Mr Jerome, as discussed in our last call pls approve issuance of $1000000 dollarsand then when Jerome replies>I approve thank youHe inputs the number into an application and money is createdI wish I was kidding this is literally how it happens
>>62104155God gave it to us
>>62104252Yeah the federal reserve creates money, but it also has the ability to destroy money. It does the former more than the latter. The treasury prints bills and decides where the money created at the fed gets allocated. The Fed is in charge of monetary policy, and the government is in charge of fiscal policy.

jews made a way to get a salary without actually producing a service or good by developing the concept of money.
>>62104155Before money you only had direct trade and gifting. In direct trade the most fungible peoduct then became a de facto money. Later all that fiat money bs is a scam that came from governments including their new funny money narrative.
People in here are conflating money with value. Value = work + consumption, without either of these two there is no value. We invented money as a means to represent value, but it grew legs and became a resource in and of itself - a resource that can be created from nothing and concentrates itself by design into larger clusters controlled by the most elite in society
