Assuming you have a remote job making $120k/year with $175k saved, what would you do?

A) Build skills to get a better remote job (or a second one) - Medium effort, but could risk working way more

B) Build a remote small business/side hustle to increase income to hedge against a poor job market - High effort, but likely less effort over time and more predictable income

C) Just be patient with the markets, dca the near bottom of BTC/MSTR, sell on the way up + travel for fun - Low effort, relies on luck (have done it before with a small chunk last cycle, hoping history rhymes)

D) index funds + travel for fun - Low effort, probably will never make it though

Do you have your home paid off? What's your mortgage rate or are you renting?
>>
i would be on a beautiful 40+ acre property living in a fuckin truck with starlink while i develop the property and doing the exact same strategy as i am now, except i keep way more money and get to work on my shit while i work.

Just renting since I want maximum liquidity. Only $900 in a LCOL spot in USA. Debating leaving this spot to stay a few months a time in other countries though. From what I've seen it can be roughly the same cost. That or might stay and just go on trips instead every quarter.

How old are you?

B, buy a property in Mexico/peru

i'd take a nice vacation, for 1-2 months if possible, then try B
whilst trying to keep the saved money growing modestly, or at least not losing it to inflation

if you can get a source of income which doesn't eat your time (and this should be possible with that much capital), then you should be set

> this should be possible with that much capital
what kind of thing would you recommend with the capital I've got? I was thinking starting very small, then scaling after I break even

I would invest in my video game and become a millionaire

>I was thinking starting very small, then scaling after I break even
that's probably the way to do it
keep in mind you'll probably burn through some money experimenting to see what works, as well
>what kind of thing would you recommend with the capital I've got?
not sure honestly, but try to think of it like a very open-ended engineering problem with constraints
like if u want to do it mostly from your bedroom, that's a constraint
if you only want to make money from a business which doesn't directly interface much with the general public, that's another constraint
then try to come up with ideas from there
>>
constraints could also include shipping laws in your country, or other things outside of your control
but those may or may not be relevant to whatever idea you come up with
just think things through

Thanks, yeah the only thing I can think is something related to marketing.
I could find people already making money and essentially help them make more by marketing more effectively on social media/reddit targeting their exact customers etc, then take commision. Besides this probably some vibe coding thing but that also require marketing, probably by making youtube video tutorials funneling to the software. I've seen channels do this exact this making 6 figures by charging $5-20 for a one time charge and getting 10k+ people to buy coming from the youtube channel or their reddit etc. I think usually they take something open source and just improve the UI.
Besides this I guess ebay could be an option, but then I'd have to bank on inventory. Haven't seen proof of concepts for anything else.

If your job can be done remotely, it can be done by an AI or an Indian.

You are on /biz/. Literally start trading at a professional level. It doesn't even have to be day trading, just do research like an autist for months per trade.
>>
>>62130625
Nah it requires speaking with enterprise clients regularly. No one wants to get on weekly calls with indians that speak and write broken english
>>62130690
would you be kind enough to give any leads? Like I said, I have autism hypervision on MSTR when it bottoms. I'm guessing half the price it is now in 2-6 months.

It's quite comical how out of touch some of biz is with the reality of tech. while we've heard that for 30 years now, it still hasn't happened in a meaningful way. Not that it hasn't been tried, but the reality in the real world is:
>paying steve and jim who do their job well 400k
>hire a new manager (100k), and a team of indians (300k) and then have a project that doesnt work, then is 6 months late, then barely works, and requires further full time investment in tech support because it's still buggy shit

yeah if you're a spread sheet jocky or do "coding" that's console.writeline statements I'd be worried about the next 3 years. if you're doing any kind of meaningful engineering work AI is going replace the h1bs whose entire technical knowledge is a 12 week boot camp, not you.

Mix of C and D. Allocate to BTC while it's under 100k, sell the ATH break, then move it all to dividend funds (not covered call dog shit) and stack as much as possible. Find a calculator, figure out how much you need to stack to retire at 40 and pick up a side job for a few years if that's what it takes to get enough to snowball.

you are poor man, keep waging and lurk more before posting your shit here
