Are you more likely to get rich from crypto or building a business?
>>
you are literally unable to get rich from crypto now, unless you plan on just constantly making and shilling shitcoin rugpulls
you're still able to build a business

You posted this 35 min after the thread was made. You should know it's not possible after the first min.

Gonna be straight, if you're in the USA like most of 4chan why would you bother with either as opposed to just grinding out education/career?

In my country (UK) this doesn't really work because the salaries are total shit and tax is really high, but afaik it's easily possible to earn $500k+ after tax in USA just as an unremarkable doctor. In the UK you'd be lucky to earn half that and will get taxed to death making other stuff necessary but in USA I don't think I'd have bothered with crypto.

Just do this, and if you're not capable of this how the fuck do you expect to succeed with crypto or business ownership both of which are much harder and much riskier...
>>
>>62135515
I already grinded out my career in USA, but I work from home and can't get a better paying job than 120k unless I physically go into an office and relocate away from my LCOL apartment. I would end up barely any better off but worse quality of life.

I have almost 200k saved in like 7 years of working full time. With inflation I need min 10x this. If doing the math that means I'll never retire despite working a career full time and living frugally.

BTC/crypto or some volatile stock on leverage is probably my only hope, or some grift like AI onlyfans to rich wallstreet dudes etc.
>>
>>62135557
How old are you? Could you not do something like FAANG, medicine etc?
>>
>>62135575
I'm 29. I tried FAANG, but it's way too competitive for me. I got a tech job. Last I checked they require a decade of experience with countless referrals, several intense interviews, and at this point looks like they really want to focus on H1Bs. Even if one lands a job with them it's usually very temporary since they cut jobs so often. Honestly for that effort I rather build my own thing.
>>
>>62135557
7 years was plenty of time. Your mistake was choosing not to invest heavily into bitcoin as soon as you started working the big boy job. You can run the math through AI yourself to see how much money you'd have now if you had invested just $2000 a month into bitcoin every month for the past 7 years.
>>
>>62135575
>can't you just do one of the most competitive jobs in the entire country? it's easy.
>>
>>62135599
I know I know. I just want to make better decisions going forward. I did buy some BTC at 9k, but it was a small amount. I didn't go all in and didn't dca every month and didn't sell the top.
I'm thinking to stay in treasury bonds for now, then buying when it drops more later in the year, then dca for 3 years straight every paycheck. If you can think of anything better I'll be grateful.

Bro I am a doctor even amongst my classmates I'm the only one who made £1 mil+ from crypto and I think 1 girl has made £1 mil from business, not saying being a doctor is easy but it's definitely not as hard. Crypto/business are a real long shot
>>

> Bro I am a doctor

In the US, medical is a bourgeoise profession that requires 12 years of being supported by family money. It's one of the few remaining ways to pass on wealth without directly just gifting money/trust fund. But anyway, it's not an option for 99% of the population. Some very, very rare exceptions with scholarships or military service after, but "just be a doctor" is not an answer here.
>>
It's 8 years in USA vs 5-6 in the UK and full of posh people here too. That still doesn't change what I said, getting a top tier job is still way easier/more reliable than making it through crypto or successful business and in the USA the pay is so high you can actually make it just from being a doctor.
>>
>>62135310
That really entirely depends on (you) and how you are wired
>>
Most businesses fail and if you don't you end up just being a wagie for yourself only with no fixed hours just constant work.
Crypto doesn't have the steam left to make you "rich" unless you have millions to put into it, the next bullrun will be just as, if not more, disappointing as the last.

Neither. Buy businesses at a 2-4x multiple, roll them up, and sell at a > 6x multiple.

Never listen to these low agency midwits. The second things stop being easy mode they declare it's all over.

Can someone from Europe with a doctor's degree from a 1st world country get a job in the US with relative ease? It's still a 10year journey to become one, but I think if you have no attachments back here, it's a good way to make tons of money.
>>
>>62135310
It's tough either way, but I'd say crypto.
Most businesses fail. Once they do, you end up taking a major hit, because if you were serious then you invested all your resources in. That means you won't be able to bounce up and start a new one right away. Even if you do meet with some success, though, and after a couple years of backbreaking mindmelting work you end up in the black, you still probably aren't getting rich. It just becomes a normal job paying yourself a salary and still probably working way more than a normal 40 hour workweek. Plus there's always a chance something crazy like covid happens again/the market is actually allowed to crash and your business is forced under via complete lack of customer base as no one has money anymore.
Crypto's gonna bounce back. It probably won't be as crazy as it's been in the past years, but things are too entrenched to disappear now. Too big to fail. Work a normal job, pour money in, and you'll at least double your investment... but there's a chance to triple, 5x, 10x, we still see it happening even in this awful stagnant bear-crab market. THAT can make you rich. Not incredibly likely but I'm taking that bet personally.

I've been thinking about opening up my own bar. I love to drink, I'll just buy the beer from myself. Infinite money...???
