What do I do with 48K in savings? Seems like nothing is a safe investment anymore but still anything is better than letting your savings be eaten by inflation.
>>62142791100% safe? buy a CD
>>62142793How's a CD compare to SGOV? I like it since I can click one button to trade to something else in Fidelity if I want
>>62142791if you wanna invest youll have to expose yourself to some risk. but youre expose to inflationary riusk whether you invest or not so you gotta pick the lesser evil. if you want some very safe with little downside method go like 80% VT 20% GLD and DCA in over 2 years or something
>>62142812Do you think it would be too risky waiting for this company to trade under $100? I'm aware they can go bankrupt but seems like a high risk to reward>80% VT 20% GLD and DCA in over 2 years or somethingYeah, this sounds reasonable, too, but I feel I just don't have enough where I'd be happy with the gains. I'm in what I am in now just waiting for a better play.
>>62142835I'm aware they can go bankrupt but seems like a high risk to rewardyoure probably correct thats why you should decide an amount youre comfortable with losing and invest that>I feel I just don't have enough where I'd be happy with the gainshigher gains higher risk generally. you cant have it both waysyou could do a combination of VT GLD and MSTR. i personally wouldnt touch MSTR just cause i dont understand it and cant be bothered to read into it.
>>62142791Risk and reward are intrinsically linked. The most important thing of all is to expose oneself to risk, to desensitize oneself to that which prevents oneself from accumulating rewards.
