My boss is making my life a living hell. Ive been looking for another job but it might take months if even that with this horrible job market.Anyone have any body revenge stories? Or even just plain wagie buckbreaking stories were u didnt get to get revenge? I am salivating at the day i can give him a 2 week notice(I wont work that week, just collect my paycheck).
>2 weeks noticeSounds like a low tier job. Just get a new one and leave.>revengeGrow up
It's Friday and I cant enjoy myself. Twice a month we have a meeting and he sucks the life out of me. Two out of every 4 weekends im recovering from the buckbreaking
>>62154778Define low tier, I make 6 figures. Why leave right away when I can collect another paycheck by doing nothing this time.
if you hate it that much why even give a notice...or are you just hoping they let you leave and pay out the 2 weeks?
when i quit, im probably not working for that year so i have to try and make it tax efficient. try to quit near the beginning of the year after PTO resets...use it all so you get the 401k match for the PTO instead of a straight payout. You also want to have the earned income on the year to possibly contribute to a roth ira. Also want to make at least the standard deduction, and then any hsa/401k to make as many tax free dollars as possible. There is something to be said about quitting your job every 5 or so years just because the 401k funds could be better invested in an ira most of the time. You can also get a low tax year to do roth conversions or tax gain harvesting.
>>62154837Ye im trying not to do shit the last 2 weeks. Plus my team and manager are great, dont want to leave them haning. Just my boss sucks. I will tell him I got a job for 200k, that will make him seeth, hes that type of person..>>62154844Why not just invest in the stock market? 3 to 5 percent a year of matched income isnt going to make a difference for me. I'd rather juat work till I die, i like what I do. Not that my or ur plan will matter when we get UBI..
>>62154775>I am salivating at the day i can give him a 2 week notice(I wont work that week, just collect my paycheck)you know they can just fire you after you give 2 week notice
>>62154856My job matches 8%. For my salary level maxing it is only like 15%. I'm getting 20+% tax break going in, plus another 50% of what i put in just from matching. I also took some well timed 401k loans to get money into the brokerage and the market dipped right after both times. The brokerage i built at this job is basically the same size as the 401k, but it took 2x as much effort and leveraging the 401k to get to the same size. It does start to become a liability though...which is one reason I wouldnt stay at this job forever even if I liked it. They would have to allow an in service roll over.
>>62154858More vacation for me
>>62154861Okay well if u do it that way then I can see the appeal, i forgot about the tax break. I would start a 401k but I would just have to take it out everytime I get laid off or fired
>>62154775Just add some weird shit to your code only you understand and leave before version stop getting security patches. Always try to plan your leave before major happenings
>>62154783>I pretend to earn 6 figures while fantasizing office revenge before collecting my final imaginary paycheck
