What if my salary just doesn’t go up? I just stepped down at work from a management position because it’s too fucking annoying. I’m tired of babysitting retards and monitoring their performance. My boss was way too annoying as well and just showed up at random times and delegated every task to me. So ultimately I’m really tired of it just being implied in every faggot article that somehow you just magically make exponentially more money as you get older. What if I don’t?

Yeah, you won't. It's all a lie. If you job hop become more useful to someone, you might get some good boy cookie raises along the way, but not because you're just older.Central banks ensure that asset owners who don't work get 10%-12.5% raises every year. They only pay at most half the tax as a working stiff. Working stiffs commute on their own dime, get put in a box, pay full tax and get a 4% inflation adjustment if they're lucky. It's an exquisitely designed system.
>>62157652I make about $200K / year gross (or a bit more - last year $214K, depending on extended work week assignments) at a large defense prime. My PhD is from a top university and I was hired as a SME. My main role is chasing money from customers and then demonstrating our capabilities to show that the money was well-spent (good money after good). Currently my projects are about $5-8M / year and I am also the sole technical performer on my small team of 2 consulting engineers (also money chasers, but near zero technical work), a technical program manager, and then the typical IPT heirarchy above that. I prepare all briefing materials for internal reporting and for external reporting. And I'm rewarded with 3% raises every year. Not worth it. One of my customers offered me a role (GS-14) at their facility in a low CoL area. It's a forty percent salary cut vs my high CoL salary. But when I see I can buy a lakehouse outright with the down payment I've saved up, how can I say no? There's no loyalty incentive to stay at the corporation. No pension. No indication of any accelerated promotion schedule. And I don't want to raise my kids in this high CoL hellhole. So gonna do it and move to the Midwest. Thanks for reading my blog.
>>62157652Out here, unless you're someone's lover, your salary doesn't go up. You're kept for the trial period, which is 90 days here, and then fired with generic reasons with no recourse.
>>62157652You either work as a youngest sibling or the oldes sibling. Being a middle sibling is just cuck.
>>62159038Godspeed anon. Enjoy the lakehouse.
>>62157652>What if I don’t?That was your decision; you did this to yourself. There's no point crying about things now. You really should have thought through the long-term implications of your actions ahead of time.
