What's the best way to buy relaxation when you have a lot of money?

Well that depends on what you find relaxing. Honestly, camping in the woods away from people doesn't even require much money but it's very relaxing. But some people don't like camping. So they go to beach resorts, yachting, deep sea fishing, stuff like that.

For me personally I got a nice one bedroom apartment near, but not in, a major city with lots to do, and I spend my days writing, reading, gaming, and lifting. It's really nice to wake up and not have to deal with people at all beyond basic commerce, but still be able to get the hustle and bustle if I ever want it (actually in the last year I've NEVER wanted it, so I could probably move to a small town and be just as happy and save maybe $300/month in rent).

Relaxation comes from minimizing responsibilities and interactions.

I live in a big house. “monster house” before the term mcmansion came out.
If you want relaxation but WITHOUT dealing with people, landscapers and dishwasher. Thats it.
>>

There is nothing “relaxing” about dealing with wagies.

Everyone is just giving you ideas of what “rich people do.” Just because they do it doesn’t mean it is relaxing.

Isn’t rent just throwing your money down the drain?
>>
>>62159204
It depends. I make more money from investments than I would save by buying a house and tying up that much capital. If housing prices where I live dropped like 30% I would buy though. Actually, I could probably hard negotiate a price drop of that much now because it's a buyer's market but then I'd have to deal with repairs and maintenance... Which would be not relaxing. Right now if anything breaks it's the landlord's problem. Same with landscaping.

Besides which I do actually own a home in another state but I'm renting it out at a profit at the moment. I wouldn't move back there now because my gym and favorite restaurants aren't there. Honestly I should sell it and move that capital into other investments, but again, that would be more work and not relaxing. Maybe I'll do it when bitcoin hits the real low and crabs at $40k for a year.

And THIS is why the wealth gap is so prominent. I think this is why /biz/ says 10m is the minimum for retirement. Assume house is paid for and worth around 2m.
And the other 8m is just working
I would never do landlording. Just letting other people live on your property who don’t give a shit about your property. I didn’t even like my friends using my home gym.

Airbnb’s in the countryside (to do drugs) or travelling in SE Asia (to take drugs).

the really really rich have an army of wagies acting as an organization for their lives.. like billionaires. They have top tier wagies who are smart, work hard and competent saying yes to their every demand and making it happen alongside 40 other top tier wagies.

Its not your normal walmart retard wagie with an attitude lol
>>
>>62159488
Still have to deal with cleaners and wagies. Like I can hire a maid, but I don’t want to have someone else in my house.
Billionaires are rare. So are rich people.
I am just giving you my perspective.
I retired at 23. Even having someone come into fix my electrical stuff was annoying.
>>
>>62159488
I have a bunch of people I can have working for me when I want too. I already do. What’s your point?
Who wants to deal with people?
Op asked a question about relaxing.
Everyone is saying vacations and etc and private jets.
I don’t work and relax all day. I am telling op how to TRULY relax.
The most unrelaxing I do is vacuuming.
If you go on vacation, you are dealing with people. If you have a private jet, you have to book it

You just have to find the right people. Yes it sucks. But it's important to have a good plumber and whatever else. I invite my plumber over to hang out sometimes now.
But if my sink stops working at 4am on Christmas he will be here fixing it.
Just find the right people and you will be set. Yes its annoying.

Anon almost EVERYONE would make more money by investing rather than owning. It's not about the amount of capital, it's about the expected return of bitcoin which is insane compared to interest rates.
If you're paying $800+ in mortgage interest ANYWAY, you might as well rent unless you need all the extra space (like having a growing family).

>imagine house is paid for and worth 2m
Imagine having 26 extra bitcoin. It's a no brainer.

>I didn’t even like my friends using my home gym.
It's not good to be stingy. As your wealth increases and it becomes easier to simply replace broken equipment you will be able to relax better and be more of a sharing kind of person.

You need to work harder to accumulate wealth so that you can be a better more complete human.
>>
>>62159809
This isn’t how wealthy people think. Like at all. Wealthy people dont think “hmmm I shouldn’t buy this house, I should keep my millions invested even though I have other millions.”
Only people who cannot afford a house or a house out of their price range or minmaxing.
>>
>>62159809
**or a house out of their price range ARE minmaxing.**
*typo*
> You need to work harder to accumulate wealth so that you can be a better more complete human.
>accumulate
You said it yourself. Accumulate assumes you don’t have wealth. This is why home ownership in a desirable area is soooo out of reach. Because 1) it is expensive 2) requires $ for maintenance
3) requires a LOT more money than how much the home costs because if youre not wealthy, you think “maybe this money should be invested instead”
THIS, right here is the wealth gap and why houses are for the rich.
>>
>>62159809
Also, regarding “just keep it invested” is exactly what they want people to do. The elites WANT people to just throw their money into investments and at the end of the day, never own anything, especially not an actual house.

You argued with me yet in your last paragraph agreed with me. lol. So dumb.
