Can one of our in house oil investors explain the consequences of such a move and share the calculations and graphs they made in advance for such an event unfolding to justify their original investment.
>>
I don't know shit but if they're quitting OPEC it must be because they want to produce more than OPEC agreed to. They could always produce less, OPEC wouldn't mind. So bearish for oil, a little bit?
Or am I retarded

UAE currently needs to or rather even can export more oil?
But long term definitely bearish unless this is seen as greater instability in the gulf region.
>>
>>62165059
Short term it changes nothing.

>Since the 1980s, OPEC has had a limited impact on world oil-supply and oil-price stability, as there is frequent cheating by members on their commitments to one another

Every OPEC meeting is exactly the fucking same
>"Okay everybody, there's too much oil supply and prices are too low, we all agree to cut to raise the price of oil, right?”
>"Of course!"
>*Everyone goes back home*
>"Those dipshits fell for it hook line and sinker, now we can raise production while everyone else cuts there's"
>All OPEC countries raise production
>Rinse and repeat forever

Price war. Emirates will dump more oil on the market and the other members of the cartel, not wanting to lose market share will follow suit.
