Anyone here downplay how much money they have around friends and family? I've gone as far to let them believe I have a ton of debt
>>62169477I just tell people I'm doing okay for myself
>>62169477Bump
>>62169477yup, they think i'm in debt
>>62169477Anyone who doesn't is either poor or a retard
Brag about being an night shift GM at Walmart.
>>62169477i tell people about how I am still paying my student loans. but I have 20x more invested than my remaining loans
>>62169477My rule is to only tell friends if they are way better off than me.The correct answer is to always be vague though, because people align to their baseline, like if you say >>62169483 and they make 40k or they make 200k, they will just assume you are doing something similar, or think you are lying if they see a car that doesn't fit or something. But most people don't really register that it could be multiple orders of magnitude off.
I have literally never hid my net worth because its less than 200k anyway (I dont count retirement, its effectively dead money)
