Just blanked out on an interview question i knew the answer to. It was for my dream fucking job too. Im gonna be repeating the question in my head for days now. I hate this career shit, too much of my future rides on small moments like this. It really breaks your spirit. Whole fucking week ruined!
>>
I regret going into a career im passionate about. I regret having any goals or aspirations. Its already at the point were if I achieve them tomorrow it will not have been worth the stress and heartache
>>
what was the question and what was your answer

sharpie in the poop for proof you know the rules op

If ur not an electrical engineer then u wouldn't understand. It was about pcb layout considerations. I only gave a few generic answers. I could have given a whole 10 mineu lecture if I was on point
>>
send them an email and tell them

You seem soft and weak. Those employers dodged a bullet.

It's too late, I dont have the interviewer email, just the HR lady. With AI nowadayd it would be sus anyways
>>62171193
U seem hard and NEET. I have another interview for the same role at another company next week but they dont have wfh. I'd rather huff fumes in traffic than be a corporate bootlicker making under 100k like u anyways. In what case would a non "soft" employee be an advantage anyways? Maybe doing manual labor like u and not complaining about the horrible work conditions

They asked what layout considering i take when designing a board? I could onyl come up with "separate anaglod/digital grounds, set parameters and set the stack up and follow general layout rules"

The correct answer would be

"Talking with the board manufacturer to get a list of rules and constraints from them and in corporate into my design, once I have the layout run it though SI/PI analysis on software like hyperlink, take into consideration the thermals, rwd through each chip layoutguidelies or follow the eval boards..." a lot more stuff. Not something a principle engineer should be blanking out on. Fml

I wish I could just shut off and feel nothing, i tried..
>>

>separate anaglod/digital grounds
i always heard this is terrible advice. eric bogatin and some other guy had a bunch of jewtube videos on this.
>>
>>62171314
Ye u are right. Which is why im killing myself over this. U do want to isolate the grounds though to the return current dont interfere via placement

No it isn't. If you do a good job and don't make it sounds like AI she'll forward it
> t. was hiring buffer person at one point.

There's a chance she's a terrible bitch at her job, but there's also a chance she's would like the spot to be filled so she can do less work. That's how I did hiring since it wasn't my main task
>>
>>62171284
Im no EE anon but your answer seems to cover the points of the second answer to me. If they cared about your technical skills they would have had you take an exam anyways. The skill check happens when comparing resumes, interviews are more about matching the vibe and filtering out spergs.

Kek

Why didn't you just have AI running in the background on your laptop so it could give you the answers in real time. that's what all of the brown thirdies are doing
>>
>>62171420
Bad advice, daddy trump is ratcheting down on bennies so getting disability from a mental illness sperg-out won't get ya much.
>>
>>62171457
It’s not about that. It’s about proving a point and sending a message.
>>
>>62171183
I think this thread is interesting. Are you sure it wasn't just a general pcb question to see if you had ever actually done any pcb design before? Your answer could have come off like you know the big issues you should be looking for. Maybe they weren't looking for a full technical breakdown.

>>62171184
This could be worth considering if it's your dream job. A short direct email clarifying your answer could possibly help. You could preface it to HR saying it was a fundamental question during the interview you wanted to clarify.

You could end it with something like I was so excited about the chance to work there and I would always be bothered that it could have been this one question that prevented it.
>>
>>62171555
Checked but OP didn’t even say he failed. He’s just ruminating until a response comes back.
>>
>>62171440
I should have, but I like to answer right away to show compentcy. Lots of good it did me though, fml.
>>62171555
I hope u are right but no they weren't just seeing if I did pcb before. This is for a principle engineer rolez its a miracle i got to the 3rd round(there are 4). I didn't do good on the last two. I just balnked out om that question with this one. Usually that wont matter cuz I had the other answers pretty good but this role it too competitive
>>
>>62171615
This job is cmso competitive I might have well failed
