Why are 99.9% of people so fucking stupid when it comes to business? It seems with each generation people get dumber and dumber.

Because fathers are too busy working to raise their kids. If you don't make time to actually teach your offspring you've failed as a parent.

Guy I worked for was given the business from his dad. His dad never taught him anything about sales, biz dev, fucking MATH, or taxes. Just had him on the machines until he felt like retiring.
Son was at least smart enough to keep the management that stayed but it's going downhill fast. We've opened more credit cards, bought more businesses, and he told our CPA his plan to create an illegal shell company.
Fucking retard made friends with some Chinese guy that probably underestimated how retarded he is.
I'm looking for new jobs but the markets not great and I'm not getting many bites.

> Tldr
Too many business owners do not actually raise up the next generation of either their staff or kids. Cultivating a competent workforce takes long term consideration most apparently lack.
It's exactly what happens when you believe human capital is just numbers to discard when you want the line to go up and not a long term investment.

Fucking BINGO
Very few exceptions exist. People don't want to go through the failures other successful people went through, they want to be profitable/good from the start. So they quit if they don't.
There is no shortcuts in this world, and that's all people are looking for.

it always seems so, but that only means you're not very smart, the percentage of smart/dumb/industrious/lazy people throughout millennia remains a stubborn constant

IDK if I agree with that
Most people are looking for stability and enough to maintain their lifestyle.
When they see an incompetent ignoramus put in charge they leave.
Or when the company isn't living up to it's ability to give them stable life like it used to.
If your business is growing, your workers salary should be growing. It's that simple. Starting wage should stay starting but good, competent people, are worth more long term than cheap idiots.

Look at fast food's workforce now compared to when the industry started. IDK when those bastards will fail but they're regularly floundering over the next meme to get a sales boost.

99.9% of people are pretty fucking stupid overall. Like look at a crowded public space, how many people are fat and don't exercise? Most people have basically 0 planning skills and just do what they see other people doing
