Is business the ultimate video game?
>>62181926Cringe
OpenTTD and capitalism labs players are the superior business strategy gamers
>>62181926No. And the best starcraft players have unique characteristics that won't necessarily make them good businessmen.
Remember, this guy tried to destroy bitcoin.
>>62181926Ironic given that his entire "business" is just profiting off of scams like poop and fart coin which they literally listed. If all of Crypto disappeared over night no one would notice except we'd have less gambling options in our lives.
>>62181926>my life is like a video game
>>62181926Its the same pvp shit as sc, oh and stop fucking cexing my npc niggers!
>>62181926I used to play Civ 3 at 20yo and would be AMAZED at how much time went by in the real world as it didn't seem like much progress had happened in the game. 200 hours put into that game. And I never beat it. Not on Sid, not on any difficulty. I ended up just playing the conquest side games as I later realized in life that I prefer the military aspect of these games and less about running a kingdom. How much fun I had LARPing as Napoleon! Sacked Naples in response to what they did to my Paris! How I was feared...Now I am playing Crusader Kings 3 on the steam deck and it's okay but I'm having a tough time figuring out the controls as it's meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard. I have heard good things about it so I hope it's worth it!In regards to the OP image... well I am 27 working at Amazon 40 hours a week and I'm supposed to be working on the things I promised myself I would learn to increase my knowledge and ultimately value... but there are so many fiefdoms and lands to conquer......
>>62182374I played Total War and Paradox games for over 15 years and rarely ever completed a campaign/playthrough. I think I'm addicted to the early game rapid progress as a proxy for my unfulfilled desires of real-world career progress
>>62181926Lol nice NFT profile pic to let everyone know you have nothing worthwhile to say.>>62182374Civ 3 is fun but yeah I wish the combat had more depth to it. Not the way civ 4 did it with the fucking rock paper scissors and making artillery useless. (Where in 3 it was really good)
>>62181926It is, but for most business owners you can't reload a save or checkpoint if you go bankrupt.
>>62181941Capitalism Lab for the win.>>62181926>>62182912Paul Tudor Jones talks about markets being the ultimate game in his documentary.
>>62181926As cringe as it is to agree with Brian Armstrong I think pic rel is correct in a way and I've said a variation of this in the past in other threads without being aware of this post.I'd normally say that video gamers should stop investing time into games and put that into the financial markets instead - treat it like your main vidya. The MMO you grind all the time. Too many /v/ types waste their time in digital sandboxes that will net them zero irl returns. Channel that into something that could retire you.>>62182008>No. And the best starcraft players have unique characteristics that won't necessarily make them good businessmen. But they all have a tism that could carry over to a natural aptitude in pattern recognition. Good pattern recognition in the markets can actually change your life.
>>62181926So is everyone here a >>>/v/ retiree?
Business is to vague to be like a video game.Even if I wanted to start a business I wouldn't know what to build or have access to people to sell it to.
>>62181926The Marketâ„¢ is the sum aggregate of human psychology.
>>62182438I play like that.. Have over 4000 hours in EU4, very few achievements because I play the same 3 countries over and over again, and usually abandon the game before 1550.I think it is due to the "nature" of the game, controlling half a dozen of full sized armies is more laborious than one or two armies, administrating +500 provinces is also time consuming, and not as fun. You also run out of obvious path of expansion, having to expand into areas outside your culture group, into low value provinces.Mistakes are also being punished harder when you are weak, later on it literally doesn't matter if you have an army get stack wiped or lose a trade fleet, you can very easily replace them.
>>62181926Sorry Brian, my governmnet doesnt want me to play business game.
>>62182889Conquests were a genius addition. Sorry to hear about 4, My uncle was a big fan of 5 and I think it was due to the battles.
>>62181926>actually contributing to humanityhow are people so blind and fucking stupidwe are THIS close to extinction
>>62181926NOW THIS IS SOME FAGGOTRY LMAO
