The easiest way to blackpill someone on the state of the economy is to point out if somebody needed to make an emergency $2000 there is just no way to do that. There is no venue whatsoever. I use $2000 specifically because, when adjusted for buying power, in the 1970's it was entirely possible to go work a part time job the same day you applied for it, start a business, a myriad of things that would provide you with the equivalent of $2000 before the month was through. Now that's just completely gone. You can do nothing. Medical expenses are often in excess of $40,000 by the way.

One of the advantages of being poor is that I get free health care. Thanks Obama!

You think someone is going to make two grand doordashing or on Fiverr? You believe that?

that sucks
I have a skilled trade and I can go away to some remote shithole and work at out of a camp and make $6-10k a month. depending on the job. with zero overhead plus paid travel (plane ticket)

you could bring back that QOL by getting strict on immigration (legal or not) but it makes da elitez a lot of money so it will literally never improve lmao

>emergency $2000 there is just no way to do that
And there never has been, not even in the boomiest of the booming economies of the mid 1990's or mid-2010's. This is also why financial advisors from time immemorial have insisted you build up an emergency fund before you do anything else, because you will not be able to raise it after you discover you need it.

Also you're either retarded, or you think we are. Either way, fuck off.

the easiest way is to actually just have them go to a gas station. They are putting taxes, convenience fees and surcharges in every transaction you do. The only winning play is to get your "value" in USD from your job and immediately invest it into commodities or push it to decentralized chains / foreign currencies. This will accelerate the downfall of USD but you don't want to be the last one holding onto that shit when its been completely rugpulled (they are printing money everyday btw, which increases the circulating supply infinitely). If you have not by now debanked yourself (outside CC debt), you are only griefing yourself and will feel it very soon. Learn how to decentralize

>the time for currency backed by military might is over
>it's time to invest in nonsensical coins that disappear if the internet is ever censored (like it is in china)

I had a 3k surprise expense last month. It was a piss off but not a big deal.

>this post reeks of ignorance
its about changing out of a dying industry into a an up and coming one. Those "coins" that you would put value into will enable you to exchange your money for any country's currency, enabling you to pivot when great allies decide to decimate your country. This includes the Yuan. Decentralization is beyond a countries control and to remove it you would need to obliterate technology altogether. Try again anon

But you could just increase the number in your example to any value that would make what you're saying true.
Like everyone here is already telling you 2k in a month is doable. So you just move the goalpost to 5k and voila, you've saved your "blackpill" thought experiment.
And if the economy shifts where 5k is manageable in a month (real value, forget about inflation), you could just increase it to 10k. On and on.
To summarize, yes, it sucks to be poor. It has always sucked, it will always suck. The end.
