Let's say there's this well-established American gas station chain. Not one of the big national ones in the spotlight, but more of a regional thing that covers a few US states.Basically, they already have the fuel pumps, logistics, employees, everything all set up. This is important, because they just found a way to somehow create gasoline and diesel out of nearly nothing at almost no cost, and they plan to sell this for $1.25/gal in this current economy. And yes its the same exact gasoline and diesel everyone currently uses, not some bio alternative. But importantly it's not just some guy in his garage on youtube announcing he's very close to inventing this amazing, cheap & efficient process. Because as we all know he'll disappear and/or die.So I'm wondering:>would they be allowed to patent this?>would they be allowed to just start selling the fuel at $1?>If the government decided to put a stop to the whole thing, what steps would they take?>what would the state/federal government's excuse be to the public as to why this business had to be shut down?

>>62190330>>would they be allowed to just start selling the fuel at $1?they wouldn't though, they'd just sell for $0.25-0.50 less than everyone else and reinvest ill the extra money in expansion
>>62190330Haha they always die because they get greedy, distribute it freely if they want to live, it would be a matter of national security to disrupt the economy and make energy cheap, they have to control energy to maintain control, these inventors always get greedy and want to cash out but always end up dead, so tell them they can be alive and a help to humanity or they can be greedy and dead
>>62190330People that own their gas -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their gas so that somebody who didn't work very hard can fill up their car.
