as a permabull, my view of the missiles being fired at the destroyers is a bit more nuanced. they are probably of chinese origin, and from what was announced they are probably some of the more sophisticated weapons they have available. my guess is that the navy wanted targeting data for these missiles, i further guess that they weren't fired *at* the destroyers, but near them. i'm taking a nap and when i wake up i imagine the navy will be the same size it was when i shut my eyes.
