I just want a good starting position. If I can get in at something like 3.6, I think that I can just comfortably dump quite a bit into it and not think twice. I'm not just feeling positive about next week. I'm starting to feel bullish long-term based on what you've mentioned so far and my own research. LAC on the other hand, I feel 50/50 on that position. I want to prioritize oil because I think that we're in for a shit show for maybe the next year or two thanks to this little stunt in Iran.

I think that we're starting to see some real contention for the petrodollar and this is more than just Israel goading the US into fighting their battles.

No. But wait until things stabilize. Then buy a small harmless amount of MU, SNDK, and a little DRAM. That will give you exposure to aall the big players. Put a 10-15% trailing stop loss on them. Wait until they go up above your stop loss and you are guaranteed at least a small profit. Then buy a bit more. Wash rinse repeat. I started doing this last November, started doing it again a month ago, and will start doing with SNDK when it hits $1400 again. It is laborious, but fairly safe. Don't get greedy. Don't get scared. Good luck.

I have high hopes for the mining tech used by DNNs partner, it looks promising for scattered deposits and could (will) be adapted to REs.

>>
>>62204544
That's a handicap all right, and it's reprehensible, but not too bad. Just take it slow and easy and have the self-discipline to let your stop loss orders execute. You cannot buy the dips because you never know which dip will take you down to hell and stay there for the next decade -- go look at Micron in the 1990's. Buy on the upswing in small painless doses and you ought to be fine. It isn't day trading. It's short-term investing on a knife's edge. But I can assure you that it works.
>>
>>62204550
Good for you!
>>
>>62204521
You cannot have high returns without high risk. And really, the high risk isn't as bad as you don't need to expect as you do. Yeah, you have a high risk of buying the top, but you probably will not end up destitute if you do that and it doesn't work out.

On the other hand, you can have a boring spy portfolio, but you cannot expect any 2x or more multiplications per year, unlike with semis. So make your choice.

Only thing that worries me about DNN in the short to mid term until they're ready for production is sulfuric acid availability. Shit is becoming super tight rn my dude.
>>
>>62204532
I agree with you. I just put a 12% trailing stop on my semis position. I'm thinking of buying back if it really dips and I end up offloading a few shares with this trailing stop but I'm also debating just being hands off completely and not trying to micromanage so tightly.

>>62204536
I think you mentioned this yourself a few days back but I think that DNN is going to have higher upfront costs in the short term if they're going to continue with development activities.

>DNNs revenue will be down a bit...
That's what I have been reading. If what you're saying about their stockpiles is true, then that makes any loss in revenue less of a concern right now since that's expected but their long-term growth should be good. I still have to do more reading about them but I think that I gotta see what happens next week before committing. I'm kind of pinching pennies but if I don't have a comfy starting position, I think that I'm going to let my emotions leads me to making dumb decisions.

>>62204559
I somewhat agree. I was looking on some UK finance reddit page when I was looking for a broker to choose, and I saw some guy with a million pounds in his ISA and he was only 27 (for reference, you can only put £20,000 per year away inside an ISA, and you can only start when you're 18, so at maximum he could've only put in £180,000)
I think that weirdly stuck with me, not particularly what he invested in, but that you'll never make a lot of money without being a bit ballsy with investing. Not making stupid decisions necessarily, but I don't think that semiconductors are a bad call, namely due to the things I listed earlier ITT (mainly the shortage lasting at least till 28, and the mass adoption of AI among seemingly all companies)

>muh make your choice

there is no dilemma cuz semis arent high risk and they got a high ROI. semis are the future . Memory/CPU chips are the new gold, how do you put a price tag on that? Is MU/SNDK/INTEL/AMD really overpriced, or is it hysterically UNDERVALUADED?
Anyone working in tech knows that AI is already conscious and quickly teaching itself how the human brain works. AGI is possibly a couple of weeks away. Once that happens we'll see incredible advancements in the blink of an eye just like in the movies. Plus we have the strongest economy in US history and the Fed is juicing the market, so there is unlimited money to pump up MUGODS. Not to mention the trillions on the sideline eager to get back in so let me set the record straight:
>S&P will reach over 9000 this year

bobos can't cope anymore. It doesn't matter how it sounds in their head , how does it sound in the consumer's head? When a consumer sees a higher priced item they immediately assume the quality is higher. Therefore the consumer perceives quality to have doubled over the past few years on almost all goods. That's why retail sales are booming. That's why the housing market is roaring. That's why SEMICONDUCTORS ARE ROARING. That's why S&P is headed to 9000 and the 10Y is headed to 9%

What the fuck is this? So first of all, oil is still down like 15% only because of fake headlines. Now on top of that, there is zero chance for a deal following the attacks. Not to mention even 120 usd brent was cheap considering the supply shock.

And now there were explosions and air defences reported across the Gulf at night. First reports at 5:30 gmt+2. Dubai interior ministry issued missile and drone alerts.

After that: NOTHING. No videos, no dubai resident reports. NOTHING ON THE NEWS ABOUT THE ALERT. Not even denial. No info on alert being taken down.

Seems fucking fishy. I think some insiders are keeping the price down until options expiration or something.

Buddy, you had ample opportunity to use investors to subsidize it. I took big losses on Micron during the earnings prior to turboquant from being in a leveraged ETF and missed the post-turboquant rebound, but I was eventually able to recover from that and come out with $3308.32 in profits this month from Sandisk alone, having held since April 15. It took some holding discipline, but it appears even selling on the 8th was a mistake as, although I lost about $1310.28 between may 6 and 8 from the random selloff, it appears to be on the road to recovery. I sold at $1340.

They can make a deal. The current Ayatollah is a gay man in a coma and not fit to lead. All it takes is for one, brave enough man, to accept a deal the CIA has already offered them, most likely a cash deal worth probably close to a billion dollars, to lead Iran to be the next Egypt. Just cuck out already and stop sending men out to die to apache helicopters and accept the L.

Ukraine is currently flying hundreds of drones at Moscow non-stop. It's more likely they are just keeping the ring of air defence busy and pressure on putin to cancel it.

Iran themselves confirmed the current deal is just about opening the strait and both sides ending their blockade and that nuclear will be discussed at a later date, some reports say during the 30 days that the strait is gradually reopened with others saying months later, I believe Trump will use the opening of the strait as an off ramp and declare victory and pretend that the war was always about the opening of the strait and he will abandon his all his other demands and pretend like the US won

I still remember being awake, around idk october 14th back then? Thinking how swing trading was gonna fuck me because I sucked at it. Then I sold and planned to buy back in. But two, three weeks passed and I didn't. Then it went parabolic after the election. Stupid fucker.

Something I always thought was a 'guideline' but didn't take serious was the 'buy in september because shit just goes up' emem but looking at the last two years..... woulda been better buying basically anything in september and just forgetting for a month or two, then peacing out and buying whatever was low in december for the big january pump.

And, obviously, how the market dumps in february but then march becomes a great place to buy for a giant april springboard. Has happened every year now except 2022.

Your graph tells me you're just gambling. You need to write down your exact strategies on paper and only follow those strategies. And it should include what-if scenarios for when to cut losses, and when to take profit.
>chased a meme
I've fallen for this too. Get your ass off of whatever social media you're using and develop a scanner to find your own stocks that fits your strategy.

That's bullish, it means the tiny bombing campaign that used 1% of America's capabilities did 30% damage to Iran. If america uses 2% of its power then Iran is finished. Looks bullish to me. Looks like they're in dire straits
