Why isn't Nintendo turning around? They have so many lawyers, they're suing enough to get ahead.
>next week on /smg/>please look forward to it!I actually don't do business with any of these companies
>Intel trading like a literally shitcoinWhy do Anons still pretend there's any reason to look at muh fundamentals and P/E ratios and shit when it's clear the markets have become a rigged casino?

BumbWhat's the best way to invest in batteries? If this AI stuff comes true you'll need a fuckton of batteries, more batteries than there are microchips. Tesla is kinda expensive, I don't want to buy chink stocks like BYD or CATL
>>62207108No but given the commitment I believe the latter

i bought DRAM at $52, baka at $564, mu at $730. i couldn't take the fomo anymore. sitting on cash missing out on wealth cause trump bitch ass kept tacoing.
I fell asleep
>>62207099Yeah.See how SOX and SOXX are *completely different things*?

So I don't fight it anymore.
>>62207122The fuck? delivery prices haven't changed here at all.
SOXSPSIFTXLAre all ETFs that spread the investment across all the major semiconductor companies. All are seeing similar growth. You can invest in these if you are afraid of putting all your eggs into just one or a few companies. These let you spread your investment across all the major chip companies for less risk.

Looks like one of my gold juniors is ready for a little take off on Monday. I'll probably take the money and invest in Santander next since it looks like they might upswing or I'll just pour more into USAR when they dip.

>>62206910it certainly can if there is some random nigger company that appears out of nowhere saying "muh memory is 100x more efficient at 1/100 of the cost and we can mass produce". Or if there is a sharp demand decline. who knows.

>>62207129Why do you invest in spanish banks?
>>62207137ASTS will never pump.
>>62207009You're simply wrong. AI scientists do not understand how AI's think. I mean, beyond grasping how they do simple arithmetic and other very basic things, how they operate and think is largely a mystery. As I believe you're aware, they're grown and mostly products of other AI's, not programmed.

>>62207137i'm gonna buy puts at close again i got a 2x off that yesterday
>>62207135I didn't trade the raw price, went long some producers. To be fair, they did/are doing well. But like I said, whenever they go down it's super volatile (i.e. the same level as volatile AI stocks) , but when they go up it's always slow. I was getting no upside volatility, so I just said fuck it might as well trade semis
>>62207132I don't, usually. I used to use it as a stock screener, but I haven't used it regularly since before the AI stuff kicked off, I just occasionally use google or yahoo finance to look up data or news.
>>62207142That's pretty based she recorded herself trashing a car and posting it online. Very Stacey of her to add the dance at the end to further mog the owner. Very cortisol maxxing.
Selling Computerz!
Semi's are going to snapback pretty hard when they do.t. owns several hundred shares of MUIf you want to be long I do think things like SNDK will hit like 1800 but you better be ready to baghold a correction before we get there.
>SOXL
I bought DRAM calls at the top and I’m already up 40%
>>62207154Based
>>62207143No it's not a mystery. It's stocastic statistics in the end, the AI isn't thinking but giving a conclusion most probable. How it reaches that conclusion can be a mystery at first but they do work backwards and eventually understand how the conclusion was reached.
>>62207140Latin passion o algo. The volume is low but the Stochastic RSI and MACD look like it's going to go up over the week. But I'm not 100% since Safe Bulkers, a drybulk shipping company, despite the estimates and war going on has increased a dollar since I last looked at it in March. Not sure what's going on there but I'm interested in it.

>>62207167If it were possible they would already be doing it.
>>62207167Chinks are big kikes. Look what they've done in nand memory. Have they undercut the western players? Have they flooded the market? Of course not they've just been selling in China at still high prices enjoying their captive market driven by both US sanctions and western AI demand for what chips they could have sent to china.CXMT will not flood the market. They will not crush their own margins when they're trying to scale.

>>62207162>How it reaches that conclusion can be a mystery at first but they do work backwards and eventually understand how the conclusion was reached.Wrong, even the Anthropic CEO has said as much.
>>62207167NO WE WON'T SHUT UP
>>62207162>but they do work backwards and eventually understand how the conclusion was reached.here you have to define what "eventually" means because it's doing a lot of rhetorical work to make open research sound settled. no one at openAI or anthropic knows why a certain token output was placed at a certain position

>>62207207i've missed a half dozen once in a lifetime opportunites in the past 2 weeks get over it bub
>>62207190Dario is a fucking retard who never studied computer science. Also the CEO of a company doesn't even have to understand his companies product, he just has to be able run a company and able to get more money. If you keep saying "hey this tech is important and it's dangerous too so we need more money" it works as a strategy to get more money. These things aren't doing anything they weren't already programmed to do. Once again the parameters are very large and the data matters as well. The AI doesn't even understand the answers it gives it just gives them based on what's programmed to find is likely. That's how AI works.

>>62207196if you want to participate in a discussion about how LLMs work mechanically please don't resort to this cheap shit. highest probability isn't an explanation for token output it's a restatement of what happened. you've described the last microsecond of a process that took billions of FLOPs across a network with hundreds of billions of parameters and acted like you said something. the question isn't what got selected it's how did the distribution get shaped that way and you have not addressed it at all as the model computed the distribution. that's the entire forward pass. residual stream, attention heads moving info between positions, MLPs doing per-token transforms, layer after layer, until you get logits. saying it picked the highest one is explaining the argmax and not the computation itself. you're basically pointing at the final step of a 80+ layer process and calling it the mechanism
>>62207207>>62207209Please see >>62206903. What is happening right now is a one per generation crazy train, and there is still time to get on board and do it safely.

>>62207157Got cash ready to slurp healthy dips
>>62207212Yes, I know that's how it works, and that it's ultimately probabilistic. However good look working backwards to determine how the model arrived at a certain result, other than - 'that's just the model weights based on the training set bro'.
>>62207232>>62207232>>62207232>>62207232
>>62207224>the question isn't what got selected it's how did the distribution get shaped that wayThat's not even dependent on the AI though. Assuming the answer is correct from the AI then the distribution should be somewhat self evident in the answer and the data it's given.

>>62207131>random nigger company that appears out of nowhereNot going to happen. Computer chips like Memory, CPU, and GPU are insanely complex to produce and require perfectly dust free and sterile conditions and are like a 500 step process to make. The factories take years to build and get all the kinks worked out and get production rolling. That is why the current companies are going to the moon. Nobody can step up to replace them in the short term. If someone decided today to build a new semiconductor factory it would probably be at least 2 or 3 years before it could actually be selling chips, and that would be incredibly quick.
>>62206698AMAT is semiconductor bubble and NBIS is AI bubble. Those are the main ones to keep an eye on.
>>62207253Not to mention the actual design of a compelling reliable chip is a fucking insane process
>>62207240lol lmao this might be worse than the post I replied to. the input-output pair underdetermines the mechanism by many orders of magnitude, as the same prompt completion can be produced by countless different internal computations, which is why interpretability researchers have to actually instrument the network with activation patching, probes, and SAEs rather than just stare at prompts and answers. if self evident from the data worked then the entire field would not exist
>>62207007It's going to be 2008 tech boogaloo. It would be just a 2000-like crash during regular times, but the entire economy since Covid has been staked on AI.
>>62207137qrd on what been happening with asts?
>>62207224while I agree, I just want to point that if edited slightly, this would make a good midwit bellcurve meme text
>>62207269It is all self evident though, I didn't say it was within our comprehension. Like why we exist is self evident, just not to us.
>>62207074Nah Intel's stock is exploding due to the timing of the AI and semiconductor hype hitting right as the company was being priced for bankrupcy. Just look at Celestica and Maxlinear for similar cases. Both companies were going to shit before the hype saved their asses and their stocks have 40x and 10x since bottom. AMD was doing alright before the hype, so the rise isn't going to be as dramatic, at least not in the short term. It is a better company than Intel at the moment though.
>>62207301I have never understood how Intel was doing so poorly. Like every fucking PC uses their chips. AMD has almost always been in their shadow. How can you have the bulk of the PC CPU market and almost be going out of business?
>>62207319>Like every fucking PC uses their chipslol
>>62207343I have been into building PCs since the mid 2000s. AMD will sometimes have a new chip design that out classes the current Intel CPU, but it always seems like within a year Intel launches the new generation that puts them on top again. Building a rig with AMD CPU and GPU is always kind of scoffed at compared to an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU rig. Been like that for like 15+ years.
