I can’t get out of bed I feel so depresssed. My paychecks are only worth $2,100 after taxes, that’s like 13 days wasted waging lost in seconds.
>>
>>62210320
Many such cases.
Next time put in your whole stack and lose 10% in a day then ride it to 0 like I did.
>>
>>62210320
If you can't emotionally handle trading then just pick a low cost etf and automatically buy every month and just never look at it.

the thing is with your salary its only going to get worse. you are at a point where your portfolio is out growing your savings from your job. you either deal with it or get a better job.

are you really whining about losing less than 1% ? the shit n piss does that at least once a month.

I'm down over £35k on paper for my LINK holdings. It doesn't matter if you're confident your investment will do well long-term.
>>
>>62210320
Wahh wahh wahh you humblebragging faggot. You have a quarter mill good for fucking you.
>>
>>62210337
lol man at this point just buy options with the max loss you would take and hodl until profit or expiration. If you cant handle losing a couple dollars on a 200k bet you should definitely not day trade
>>
>>62210344
invest in something long term.

Insane. My jaw genuinely dropped.

daytrading is not for poor people

STOP fucking day trading first of all. "time in the market>timing the market" (warren buffett)
>>
i'm a noob to stocks and stuff, am i crazy for thinking day trading wouldn't be that hard? there's tons of stocks that just go up all day long and there has to be some signal in the early stages of the rip that it's gonna happen or even just entering a nice spike up and exit in a small window. if it suddenly turns against you just exit the trade quickly and maybe lose a little bit and then continue looking for another momentum play, this is an ignorant thought process? is there some reason you wouldn't be able to exit a trade as soon as you want?
>>
>>62210538
LMAO
>>
>>62211267
It's definitely not as easy as it sounds for various reasons. Most day traders fail miserably, usually the only people who succeed are people who stick to it for several years and learn the hard lessons. There are a few exceptions of people who succeed right off the bat but it's extremely rare. The amount of people who succeed in day trading before going broke is very low, it's like 5-10%.
>>

imagine not knowing kelly and sharpe, minimum.

Bro if you want to day trade you need to learn quant asap.

only a retard bets 30% of margin on a 10x notional
>>
Do you wagetards not realize informed traders know for a near-certainty that they're going to take your money? Wagetards like you are confused about why some things go up and other things go down. You're just fumbling around in the dark like a stupid animal. Informed traders can read the market like a fucking book. Many of them have insider info anyway, so you might as well be donating your poorshit pennies to them.

Yes. Maybe one person in ten is good at it. The rest lose money and we hear them screaming every day.

Sometimes I watch compilations of day traders losing all their money for enjoyment.
>>
Back in 2021 I lost like 75% of my investment trying to day trade crypto. If I would have just bought BTC and hodl and not even checked my account for months I would have made like 500%.
>>
>>62210407
DCA BTC is the boring answer that prints

everything else is noise unless you’re early and right twice

stack sats, and if you’re thinking ahead, native BTC staking is already live on Babylon for putting idle BTC to work

>What should I do?
Save your money, spend it on things you want, and understand that using your money to make money is always a gamble at best because every single human being alive wants to make money without working and the books have to balance somehow. In order for you to make money, someone else must lose it, in order for someone else to make money, you must lose it.

Instead of gambling, just use the money you actually have and earned, its what you've got. There's no need to trade what you've got for a tiny percentage chance of more.

>muh $2500 loss
Boy sit your goofy ass down. $2500 is a rounding error. I've "lost" the equivalent of 5x that every week for the past 6 months.
>>
>>62212618
Why would you gamble with that kind of net worth? You could safely put that money in broad indexes and allocate about half to a high dividend paying fund and live comfortably forever.
>>
>>62212020
I really need 4k, you guys are lucky not jealous just saying, haven't seen 1k in years.
>>
>>62212589
>t. doesnt know how taxes work
taxes are based on total gain/loss
if he loses $2500 and just stops trading (or just goes all in on a stock and doesn't sell for the rest of the year) he gets to write $2500 off of his 2026 taxes
that's it.
unless he's some eurotrash with some terrible tax system he's going to be better off losing a little bit here and there
in america i believe you can write off up to $4k and anything over that rolls over to future tax years for 4 or 5 years
on my 2025 taxes i still was able to write off losses i harvested from 2022
>>
>>62212579
the wheel is where you become the casino
>sell (cash covered) puts
>collect premium
>if the stock goes down, the puts execute and you buy 100 shares (per put) of the stock at the strike price
>if the stock goes up, you win 100% of the premium and the puts expire worthless
>then when you have shares you sell calls against your stock
>collect premium
>when your calls eventually execute they buy your calls at the strike price
>repeat
>>

You are one fat finger away from complete financial ruin.
>>
>>62211267
Yes, this works. The problem is that no one wants to stare at literally for hours at the screen. If you have nothing better to do all day, then what you're describing is definitely a profitable strategy.
The issue with day trading is that day traders by definition are trying to make a gain every single day. But intelligent trading plays out in the week to month timeframe, with plenty of red days.
You would waste your red days day trading.
>>
>>62210337

>There has to be some signal

There aren't any tried and true signals. Not a single person has demonstrated a consistent ability to time the market. Not. A. Single. Person.
>>
>>62212747
I cant think of many stocks with a clean enough up and to the right chart to do this on. Some of them would be well over 50k minimums for 1 contract so unless you have a shitload of money, you will be extremely concentrated.
