Friendly reminder that with their acquisition of 100% of Tanbreez and 60° North Greenland ApS (the only real mining infrastructure construction company in the island) Critical Metals effectively owns Greenland's Rare Earths and will most likely get US Government backing since they now have a effective monopoly.

Yes. I make every purchase except rent and a few other specific cases with credit cards. I don't like giving anyone direct access to my checking account, either through the routing/account numbers or a debit card. I don't keep much cash in there, but I'd still rather not take the risk of it getting drained. I put everything on a credit card and then pay it off at the end of the month. The cashback is a nice-to-have. I don't spend enough to rake in huge amounts though.

Is there any company out there producing small modular nuclear reactors for commercial data centers and to auction on the private market?

This is the paradox of the growth stock: while you are growing to domination, the market loves you, but once you achieve dominance, the market lops 75% or more off your value in a single stroke if they do not trust your pricing power.

Which is why growth-stock companies are always desperately pumping up one bubble or another, spending billions to hype the pivot to video or cryptocurrency or NFTs or the metaverse or AI.

I am not saying that tech bosses are making bets they do not plan on winning. But winning the bet – creating a viable metaverse – is the secondary goal. The primary goal is to keep the market convinced that your company will continue to grow, and to remain convinced until the next bubble comes along.

So this is why they’re hyping AI: the material basis for the hundreds of billions in AI investment.

these already exist, you're just ignorant and dismissive of these agentic tools that are automating company workflows. look around, do you see any job openings at tech firms? nope, all gone because they have a computer running an agent 24/7 handling code reviews, ticket triage, customer support escalation, internal docs, the boring infrastructure work that used to need three useless junior engineers. tech hiring fell off a cliff in 2024 and never came back, and it's not because the work disappeared, the work got absorbed by these agents while everyone pretends nothing happened (muh covid overhire). it's fucking over for software, and this will continue to get worse for other sectors once hardware (autonomous fleets, warehouse agents, robotics scaling) is integrated
we're still early

other interesting plays would be for other anti-american players to run their own tricks while americans are too busy goleming for the israelis and then when the le war le ceases those anti-american tricksters can say "oh sowwy it was just a joke"

From the last thread.

The longer term context is that they had a shitload of bad debt that was about to come due this year so the CEO let their pension fund managers off the leash to invest in whatever they wanted and they managed to overfund their pension by $1.1bn, which they recently used to pay off the debt and reinvest into pharmaceutical manufacturing and some other stuff.

The question is who is going to win the NAND race? Kioxia, samsung, sk hynix and micron are all trying to beat the problem of creating the optane killer Intel made (now solidigm). The disk that lowers the gap with ram in terms of latency and bandwidth is gonna be very interesting. Kioxia is mostly focused on the latency by cutting datapath length.

>thoughts on ASTS?
Amazing potential, retarded CEO who cant lead the company, he should be CTO instead. Same as the former CEO of Lucid group - great technically but loser as CEO so Lucid never had a chance.

The only real hope for ASTS is the big investors step in and start telling the CEO what to or install a stealth CEO to run the place. Their earnings report coming after close Monday, expect a big miss again. CEO keeps saying they are completing about 6 satellites a month, then well not full satellites but the arrays, but no not the arrays they built a new facility in which they could actaully make the arrays but they somehow did not even finish that. They also seem to have a major problem with the size and weight for the sats (large and heavy) and the reduce the cost of launches they need to launch 3 or four at time and need to stack the satellites ontop of each other, but there seems to be another problem with that. If ASTS announces they shipped 3 sats for launch at the same time, or the rumors are, the stock price will start to move, if the launch is successful and three sats are successfully put in the right orbit this time the price will really move, if they announce repeated shipments and launches the price will explode. You just missed another dip and its already recovering.

t. 2300 shares and getting tired of all the missed goals.

Hi anons, MUanon here. I've been trying to help you guys make money since last November, and I will persist as long as I feel it will do any good. Look at the low forward PE and the absurdly low PEG. Look at the EPS forecast. The crazy train has no brakes, and there is still time to get on board. Buy a little. Put a 10%-12% trailing stop loss on it and leave it alone. Wait for it to go up above your stop loss, so that you are assured of making money. Then buy a little more. Then a little more, whenever you feel brave. If the stop loss executes, have the self-discipline to let the stock recover to the point at which you sold. Then start the whole laborious process all over again. To hell with going all in or buying the dips when the next dip might take you down to bagholder hell. You are trying to write clean tight code for your financial life, and that means as close to zero defects as possible.

I know you have that AHHH I DON'T WANT TO BUY AT THE TOP feeling. That's okay, anon. Don't get greedy and don't get scared. Just hang on tight and wait for the tsunami of cash to keep pushing them upwards. Oh, and remember -- you cannot baghold semiconductor stocks. It WILL go back down to $100 or so after the data center craze is over and wander around aimlessly for the next 10-15 years.

Don't get greedy. Don't get scared. Good luck. WAAGMI!

basically when NVDA builds an AI cluster they're connecting thousands of chips together and these need to communicate with each other at insane speeds, so copper is no longer viable but light is, through a laser, and lumentum is one of two companies (also COHR) that makes these lasers in terms of quality and volume

A dip? That's bullish.

Just kidding.

So this is why they’re hyping AI: the material basis for the hundreds of billions in AI investment.

signals travelling through wires (even teeny tiny wires over short distances) is too slow for the need for near instant mega compute power, so some companies are developing tech to use light (photonics) to transmitt info in/through the chips. This is different than 'regular' fiber optic cable. Many companies are in the photon space which is expanding rapidly. First there was CPUs, then GPUs, AI, data centers, bigger data centers, now its spilling into quantum computing, using photon in quantum computing, using photon for quantum computer for AI - the area of the tech sector is exploding. I posted a link to a vid futher up, guy IDs some of the more cutting edge companies. There will be explosive growth and big dumps as the companies vie for new money and develop technology. Its an exciting time to make a shit ton of money.
