Different guy, but bill for another (((you))) and tell me, if the following is true;

1. A pound of copper is 6 to 6.50 dollars (American) at current spot price.
2. A pre-82 US cent contains ~1/150th of a pound of copper.

How can it not follow that;

3. A pre-82 US cent is worth approximately 4 cents in copper value at current spot price.

Truly I ask, prabhu! Illuminate an ignorant vaishya. Are the premises false? Does the conclusion not follow from the premises?

The primary issue is that the policy of shorting silver was implemented before the invention of mobile phones and the internet, and long before the boom period of solar panels and renewables and electric cars. If you could start from 0 today, and look at a resource who's price has been suppressed enough that it is financially not viable to be mined in sufficient quantities, despite being literally essential to the world, you'd never short it, because the fundamentals are too strong.

The only reason large banks and the U.S/Israeli government are shorting silver and using the COMEX to fraudulently game the system is because they're locked into it already, they have absolutely no choice, all they can do is slowly exit whilst attempting to mitigate their losses as best they can, but china has already identified the weakness, in March they imported the most silver in human history, last year the LBMA almost failed, and now the COMEX is on its last legs too, china will not stop, they understand the game better than the west could ever dream of, and they see the future decade ahead, rather than the western style of constantly planning to collapse after the very next financial quarter, and just barely putting the fires out each and every time.

Pic related image is from 2013, that's how long china has been playing this game. The west is only just starting to notice that they've traded away all their useful commodities and industries for a bunch of financial scams and money printing schemes.

He's right about the copper value and you're right about the law and the cost of refining. Both of you are ignoring the purchase price and cost of sorting

A penny is worth about 4 cents but it costs one cent to buy and one cent to refine so a person could make about 2 cents each to compensate for the cost of transporting and sorting them as well as the risk of being indicted for trying to scrap them. Overall the tiny gain probably isn't worth the risk.

You're less likely to get in trouble if you melt them yourself, but melting a penny in your garage costs more than 4 cents in equipment and fuel

>ignoring the purchase price and cost of sorting
All I did was post how much the spot price has made the value of the copper content break above the 4-cent mark. I'm not saying this is an investment, wise or otherwise.
That said, I suspect pennies are a source for seeing this kind of crap on places like ebay, where copper is priced at $30/lb (shipping included). The purity can only be imagined.
>>
>>62219549
Yep I've considered the eBay bars myself since I have the equipment to make them on hand as well as a good supply of copper and brass.

My problem is the labor cost. I net about $30 per hour working so I'd need to sell a bar an hour or more to get as much as a regular job and I expect they don't sell nearly that fast.

Might be an interesting side gig though

I had fifteen minutes to kill before work. Ended up getting a 10g 14k bracelet with italian diamond cuts and textured finish

It has a push button clasp and no safety arms so if you bump the button the bracelet falls off which is which is why the bracelet fell off. I wore it for about two hours and it fell off so i’ll have to get safety arms put next to the clasp

Treasuries being dumped is normally bullish for precious metals. I think the recent trend in precious metals is more about the market needing to reset after the big moves higher last year and the beginning of this year. Silver seems to be nearing the end of the pullback phase. Gold likely to follow soon.

In this particular case it will be silver. I am also diversified elsewhere so even if I only make $100 off this little plot to buy lower at one place, sell higher at another, then head to a third place to buy silver with that excess, it's not my only strategy in play.
I have even thrown $100 at an asset multiple times and seen it become 1K or more after hours of research. Anyway, not the place for talking about that in-depth.
Back to silver: some items I might find at the post office sell for a lot over spot due to being more ornate, collector's items. So if the post office has them for an old spot price and an LCS agrees to buy for the current spot price OR closer to the premium price of the government mint, I could make hundreds off this that can be turned into more standard rounds/coins.
In theory one could do this with gold but I doubt I'll find gold at the post offices. Could be wrong. Won't know till I go.

I know it’s a concept that not everyone can understand, but when you exit the world of the imaginary and fully commit yourself to the realm of the real and physical, it grants one a truly refreshing perspective. From the debasement of Roman coinage by Diocletian to the decoupling of the gold standard by Nixon, imaginary currencies with no real-world backing simply aren’t worth worrying about. It may take years, perhaps decades, but they are doomed to fail, as they always have been and always will be. In a similar vein, imaginary arguments with the terminally online simply hold no weight. If it were truly a fight worth having, then I would simply kill them. Gold and silver, brass and lead, these are the things that matter, because they are real. This is the law of the world.

88 btw, we might actually break through the 90s this time. Tampowitz would have to do something extremely absurd this time to knock it down.

stop making up stories about me

The last time I bought silver bullion was 1996 and I only bought one ounce to make jewelry out of.

The last time I seriously stacked silver was in the late 80's. I switched to straight numismatics before your parents were born

Interesting. I did see an Elliot Wave video a while back that predicted a high in January then dumping and later ascending to a new ATH by November, not that he called it a strict timeline.
