Do I give up WFH for 50 percent raise and a job that will be good for my career or do I stay WFH for poverty wage(100k) and focus on finishing my masters and not huffing fumes in traffic?

I feel like i wont regret giving up wfh later in life but I'll be miserable for the next 3 years.. I feel like im fucked either way.

Meant to say later in life like 3 years later when I quit cuz I cant go in the office my while life, id rather be dead. But it might be worth it to suck it up for a few years

What's the masters in? This is the hinge the decision should be on.

Consider how much money you would spend on gas commuting everyday for a year, and consider that gas could still go up another 50% from today's prices. So you know that you are spending $3.5k — 5.2k in gas this year citing today's average American gas price for calculations. Is office life worth this sacrifice?

Electrical Engineering

The goymute is 42 miles so I would have to move or get a tesla with fsd

Things are about to get COVID style unstable, band unemployment is at 30%. I'd go with whichever job is less likely to terminate early. Any steady paycheck is better than no paycheck.
>>

I personally would not want to spend 2 hrs a day commuting. That time could be spent doing sports, dating, another side hustle that I really like, etc.
>>
>>62223303
I would not unless you are open to moving closer.
>>62223366
Also this

I would probably kms if I had to do an actual rigorous masters while working full time in office desu

Ikr, yet a lot of people here and a big part of myself really want work life balance but 50 percent raise should be a no brainer
>>

I cant afford to date on 105k a year also im an engineer so what dates?
>>
>>62223393
I am thinking of killing myself. I am open to moving but its in a liberal hellhole. Gotta do what I gotta do.

Get a job that's no easily replaced by AI
If you commute buy a Tesla with fsd so you don't have to actively drive and spend the time doing something productive.
>>
>>62222336
putting up with non whites in person is not worth anything
>>
>>62223366
In two weeks right?
>>
>>62224369
this. I'm in the same spot as OP and refuse to work in office. Pay me 50k I dont care. I make more from my investment portfolio daily than my job by far anyway
>>
take the raise

wfh is comfy but you really become a piece of shit with the time

also you can cheat on your wife at work
>>
>>62222336
>Do I give up WFH for 50 percent raise
>Do I give up WFH

No. The answer is objectively and conclusively "no"
>>
>>62222336
I wouldn't give up WFH even if they paid me 100% more.
>>
>>62222336
do it for a few years. save as much money and learn as much as you can while you're there.
>>
>>62222336
depends on your goals
