>CGT discount - DENIED>Negative Gearing - DENIEDWhere were you when the Australian dream died?
have the liberals said they will reverse it? do we just hold and wait?
>>62223850Doesn’t this come into effect in 2027? Should I sell all my crypto before 2027?
>>62223850its tiring living herethe new rules favour low return long duration assets. high growth assets like btc and leveraged etfs get smoked compared old rules. run a few tests... under 12 months nothing changes. i wonder if it actually encourages speculation. might as well punt on options or asx bets miners or U.S letfs... you need BIG wins now
>>62223850Negative gearing has always been retarded.
>>62223850Explain whats changed so i can care or not ? t aussie
>>62223850>the Australian dreamKEKAustralia was a prison land where we sent the scum to so they can starve or kill each other.Only after the jews mettled did they get rights.
>>62224281No more long term CGT discount. Minimum taxed is now always 30% even if you used to be in lower bracket
>>62224288>where we sentI really hope this isn't a bong posting, because lol if you think bongs are in any position to be talking like this in current year.
>>62224288Shalom!
Relax, the changes only apply to new purchases, as long as you already have your properties you'll be paying less tax than future property owners.
>>62224346>doesn't even reach half a billionLOL
CGT changes for all asset types is retarded and makes it so property is still the best investmentMy cope is that negative gearing changes will result in cheaper properties but higher yields as rental supply drops
>>62224365dont care about properties, i want to know if shares are grandfathered in
>>62223850SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME IN ENGLISHJUST HOW COOKED ARE WE CUNTS???
>>62224331Right thanks m8.
>>62224440This, except crypto and boomer rocks.
>>62224467Return to pre-1999 CGT system.
>>62224536CGT is theft, Fuck you albo.
>>62223850I voted for this.
>>62224536but... w why they do this do this to us
I'm of two minds on one hand I have about 600k AUD of cgt obligations which if I were to use the discount while I can would have to lock in maybe 100k of tax this coming year (yes I'll be at 45% bracket because I'm not a brokie)On the other hand I'm priced out of the property market (not really but I don't want to pay 900k for a shitty Sydney apartment) that any fucking over of property investors is actually a good thing (for me and people my age)
>>62224712Doesnt making $600k in profit automatically put you in the highest tax bracket owed regardless of how much you earned from waging?
Honestly, everyone should be sticking their money into classic cars, right this instant.Buy a final edition V8 Landcruiser 70 series, a MK V Supra or a Y62 Patrol Warrior and just sit on it.Watch this space, its exempt from CGT and may sky rocket in value, especially as we push forward into cucked out 4cyl and 3cyl hybrid cuckboxes. My cars will now become my investments, fuck the Government.
>>62226023retro games for me. if you spend less than 500 dollars on a collectible item it's tax-exempt when you sell it. they have more universal appeal than pokemon cards and many well known games are becoming extremely rare to find in complete condition.
