so I spent the last however many months building my own chat platform from scratch and google is holding me hostage

the app is called FrogTalk. built the whole thing myself. DMs, group rooms, voice and video calls, image board, e2e encrypted, federated so you can run your own server, no phone number required to sign up. works in the browser too if you're on a toaster. code is fully public if you don't trust me.

the whole point was I'm sick of discord scanning every message you send, building a profile on you and selling it to advertisers while you sit there thinking your server is private. it's not. they read everything. FrogTalk doesn't do any of that, the server literally never sees your plaintext messages.

anyway I submitted to the play store and google in their infinite wisdom won't approve it until I have 12 real testers who actively use it for 14 days straight. not 11. 12. and they all have to use it for the full 14 days or the clock resets. I have no idea who designs these policies.

so here I am on 4chan begging for testers like a clown because apparently this is what indie dev looks like in 2026. spent months building something I actually think is good and I'm stuck because I need 12 people to open an app for two weeks.

if you drop your email in the thread I'll add you to the alpha manually and send you the play store testing link. or just use it in the browser right now at the link below, no install needed. if something is broken tell me, if it's not broken just leave it open for 14 days and you'll have my eternal gratitude.
