>recently stopped playing League of Legends because investing time in it feels pathetic at my age
>recently stopped binging on junk food for hours as a way to numb boredom
>have to confront my huge amounts of free time and total lack of motivation to do anything

There's literally nothing I want to do. I am a long way from doing anything productive. Gaining useful skills takes too fucking long.

Single player video games at least feel bounded, so I could maybe do more of that.

I feel like I'm a huge slog away from doing achieving anything productive.

I think I may binge on junk food today just to feel something. I'm not hungry, I just have NOTHING to do.

it really doesn't. there are a billion tutorials on youtube for getting from nothing to something within a few days

Get on a random flight to anywhere and change your environment for two weeks

I'm 40 and I can't be bothered to learn anything new now, proficiency would take me till I'm about 50, mastery would be 60 or beyond.
No point.

Did that recently. Went to new zealand, it was cool. Came back and I'm just me again. I feel ripped off, I thought travel was supposed to change you.

Try doing stuff as if it was a video game and youre "leveling up", also do stuff in tiny bites or chunks, i think you could get consistent that way.

I went through a long webdev tutorial. And I realised how useful AI is.

But I still can't motivate myself.

Everything is a slog. Everything has been commoditised. It all comes down to looks, networks, already being part of prestigious organisations, shamelessness that wagies can't risk, being in a few key locations (New York or California), or a few major events and choices that take place from 18 to 22.

I'm mentally done. No successful person's biography has ever been "they were a mid-level wagie until their 30s and then suddenly started doing great things".

I was watching videos of Alcaraz (the tennis player) in early 2022, as he was becoming a top player, and it's very much a blackpill on talent and what it really looks like. There was no learning. There was no long slog. There was no writing a list and diligently going through it.

Play fighting games like Street Fighter 6 and try to be a pro, go to locals and join groups. it's a huge waste of time but at least it's fun and social and you meet lots of people. And if you are actually good then you can make some money

You know what we should do. Minecraft in real life (not pol Minecraft). What I mean is dig a cave and build an awesome mining settlement and the more we dig out the cave the more sense of accomplishment we get. Think about how amazing it would feel to dig a giant cave and collect minerals and build a castle with said minerals. It’d be fun everyday and we’d all get super fit from the work, after many generations we can have a mine like that one from lord of the rings. This is what gives life purpose

I dunno i became a doctor and my life is pretty nice. Sure it’s hard work but i can take vacations and what else should i do with my life? At least this is challenging and i’m helping other people while getting paid a lot. Also more women than i have time or sexual energy for. I didn’t need to be some 0,001% talent for this.

I moved a 200 kilogram bouncy house from my garage to my back yard today and set it up. Helped my wife manage a birthday party for our 6 year old (we have 4 kids) and a dozen visiting kids. Finished cutting the grass. Folded up the bouncy house and moved it into my garden shed.
Kinda chilling at the moment.
At least it isn't boring. Exhausting. But not boring.

You can always dadmaxx if you literally are already rich and can't think of what else to do.

>Alcaraz started playing tennis at the age of four at the Real Sociedad Club de Campo de Murcia, where his father was a tennis coach and club administrator.
>Alcaraz is frequently accompanied to tournaments by his father and by his brother Álvaro, who works as his hitting partner and assistant coach. During the tennis off-season, he lives at his parents' home in Murcia.[15

I read that price's law applies to a person's work as well. So if you make 100 videos, expect some level of success from 10 of those videos. Basically whatever you choose to do, the important thing is to just start. Another thing people say is that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in any given field

When I went to rural Alaska I became a semi Chad. Didn't masturbate, read a lot and actually worked my ass off and signed up for tons of overtime and actually applied myself to the work I was doing. When I came back I reverted into a coomer wagie that fantasizes all day

What do you think about all the lifelong learners from the Renaissance period? The greeks just sat on a rock and devoted time to thinking and discussing things that would not make them any money. Literally decided on a day to meet up and talk about abstract subjects. Old men btw.

I was able to do something similar. Stopped playing league, and started studying in a lot of my free time. Biggest mistake was eventually going back and getting roped in again. And what let me to leaving it was the idea I reached my goal. I’ve already played over 500 games this year. Anyways next time I’m going to try to stay away for good. In the past two years I’ve made decent progress in my career but none on my own business which I still have no idea of yet. Fuck working under someone else, the people above me are egghead faggots for the most part. I think another part of what helps it to truly learn to venerate knowledge, most people really don’t get it.
>>
>>62238971
I was the same. I managed to stop league for stretches of time and get some serious work and studying done. Motivation was that I was broke and jobless. Now that I’ve had a job for the past two years I’m starting to get exhausted. It never fucking ends man. I want to do my own business but still clueless on how to actually do that plus I need more money to start something up. Studying is a fucking battle too, it was easier like a year ago but I have to force myself to study for an hour when I’m not working and on weekends instead of just gaming and jerking off. Career maxxing dulls interest too, you really have to grasp on to whatever interests you when it shows itself. I’ve always been painfully unhappy though so it’s nothing new. Life I think is always suffering you will simply always suffer.

Vidya and short-term content (like mindlessly browsing 4chan) has fried your attention span. You’re no different than kids with tiktok brains who can’t pay attention to a movie for 90 minutes without checking their phones.

Disconnect from the interwebs for a couple of weeks to jumpstart your attention span. You’ll probably have withdrawals like a fucking heroin addict

LMAO, HR lady doesn't care that you may have 40 years left in you, you're not getting hired
>>
>>62241057
>may have 40 years left in you,
Kek only young people believe this. You're basically done at 40. You need a skill you can coast to retirement on by that age.
My wife is a medical doctor which is an easy job you can do until age 85 so my plan is to mooch off her once my career dies entirely (cybersecurity).

The USA uses HAARP to pacify the population. It causes brain fog, reduces energy and slight to medium increase in suicide. Leaving the borders cures you in about three days. They try to target certain genetics, but the tech isn't accurate. This thread will be pruned shortly.
