Say you win lotto, what is the safest investment without regard to yield?

Obviously you don't want to lose money on the investments but it has to be something practical, not "buy bricks of gold, dude!".

Why is buying gold not practical in your opinion?

If you won the lottery, look up a local "wealth management" firm (visit them in person to verify theyre not indian scammers).
The safest investment in a large windfall is avoiding as much taxes as possible because, despite what the average person thinks about rich people, the IRS will rape you if you're rich. Wealth management firms will shuffle your money such that the government gets as little as possible, and their advising can get you out of hot water.

Treasuries

yeah. Not that that's perfect but yes.

Real estate... obviously. The people on this board really are retarded.

Gold and bonds?

And this

Real estate is proven to be a bad investment unless you are mega ultra rich to the point where you make a house payment in a year. Property tax alone is a gigantic drain and upkeep is a slow poison. Renting just accelerates the upkeep issues, especially if you have a bad tenant.

downside volatility, sideways movement for years, cyclical nature

do you even know how to think? or you are just some faggot with no iq?

Gold it lighter than cash, doesn't burn or rust and dogs can't smell it.

Real estate fag here, I agree.
It’s too much of a hassle for the average chad and true chads don’t worry about things and it’s a lot of worry. If I was a true American Patriot, and had a strong lower jaw I would rent from a well established cuck like Goldberg properties; no relation.

the IRS takes taxes off the top, so your initial windfall is paid for right off the bat.

they'll tax gains on investments afterwards, but that's where a good accountant or planner comes in.
