They might spend 6 months in China then 3 months on Oil Rigs or Exploration ships then the next 6 months in the Phillipines or Saudi Arabia. They are away from their home countries that much that they are exempt from paying taxes when they come home.

He got a job as an "armature winder" in the 80's (winding copper wire around a core of iron a certain number of times). He just learned more and more about Electricity over the years working for the same company tilll he ended up being able to fix all the big Generating equipment. The other guy went to University and studied Electrical Engineering for years.Im not very knowledgable about Electricity but I guess you could say that it takes a long time to learn to fix the Big Plant Generators and being near High Voltage Electricity will always carry a risk, I would imagine, though I have heard one of them talking about wearing a Faraday Suit at times. It's one of the jobs that will always be needed unless we stop using Electricity for some strange reason.
