No really, but what have you ACTUALLY done to make it? Hmm? What effort have you put in?

remove the mortgage from the networth and filter for people with a million liquid in usd and bitcoin and tell me how many there are.
>>
>>62250042
Okay and how many of these millionaire adults are over 40 year old?

Being rich when you’re old is like being a virgin loser till you are 60 then getting mad pussy, basically who cares
>>
>>62250042
Most of the 1/10 are boomers and their wealth comes from their heavily inflated real estate bags, also most of the millionaires are 1-2 million in net worth which is still poor.

>Um e-excuse me but you can't include the thing that they spent their entire life on! That's not fair! You must only include fiat and internet money actually!

Shut up dork or I'll stuff you in a locker lol

I assume they subtract liabilities from assets for this calculation.

Sounds like you're salty you spent your life on an imageboard for free

(not me I bought link in 2017 as a joke)
>>
> Be me living in third world shit hole.
> Everyone in my family is a millionare. Ofcourse excluding the house and such.
> Life is still shit

It truly must be hell living in the west without a million dollars to your name.

How do you cope?

Real estate baggies real triggered by this trvth nvke.

If you own a house but you still owe money on a mortgage the amount you owe would be subtracted from your net worth.
>>
>>62250286
I get your point but you do need a house. Do you have one in LCOL area, or rentoid to the death bed?
>>
>>62250328
But real estate equity on your primary residence isn't real, you cant access it without also buying an overinflated asset after you sell. If you sell liquid assets you can access your gains without being forced to buy a new cardboard box to live in.
>>

Technically, you have two options:

- Buy one in a cheaper area once you retire. Although not realistic for normies.

- Rent, which would be the original situation without a house. Again, obviously not viable for normies.

It's about 1 in 50 when you do it this way

>own single family house in nice neighborhood in1970
>not a millionaire
>own exact same house in 2020 + 6
>millionaire
the term millionaire has lost all its usefulness as a shorthand for wealthy. middle class people without much debt are millionaires by default.

https://www.sec.gov/data-research/statistics-data-visualizations/qualifying-households-under-accredited-investor-financial-criteria

12.5% of households have a net worth over $1MM excluding primary residence
