Unironically because peak /biz/ was actually about value investing. They found link before it mooned, they found gme not wallstreetbets (reddit only caught on the weeks before it mooned, /smg/ was discussing it months before), and obviously there's /pmg/. It went through a boom/bust cycle where everyone noticed /biz/ was ahead of the curve, then it got flooded with shit in 2021, and it hasn't recovered since. Now it's sort of flatlining, mostly past the anger phase and into depression. Next comes disbelief, but for that to hit, value investing has to matter again.

So when someone who is "early" to something posts about it, and the mods delete the thread immediately, the board misses out on alpha. You actually need very high IQ moderators for this board or it just doesn't work.
