Posting here because I figure you guys know more about money moves in general than any other board.
Anything wrong with dumping 1k a month into the mother's house with the understanding I'll take it over fully after her death?
I don't ever want to own my own house again. Will sell it when she goes. Apartment life is the life for me.

it meks the sense but make sure she hasnt reverse mortgaged it to some cunt. pay a couple hundred bucks for a lawyer to notarize a will gifting the house to you upon her death.

so basically get your ducks in a row OP and don't assume anything before you start sinking money you may not actually get a return on if there is a nose fuck hiding around the corner.

What if she lives 20 more years?
Also things decay so the inner parts of the house will have some decay
Maybe just invest un the house to make her happy
