that is 75%

what you do, when you take profits on something that has gone up a lot. Don't sell it all. Sell 50%, and then gradually sell off at new ATHs. By selling off 50% you would have got all the money back that you spent on it. And now you've got a holding that cost you nothing.

Yeah I saw that. I was pointing out earlier this year that to achieve a PEG of 1, Micron would have to hit $750-$850 a share. Here we are. Their earnings continue to balloon, and if they stay stable, it'll have to hit $1800-$1900 a share to get a PEG of 1. All of this is happening much faster than I anticipated. I'm no market guru. are their earnings really sustainable though?
once the initial race to lay down data centres is over there will certainly be more demand but this kind of explosive growth doesn't seem stable
i would draw comparisons to the railway bubble in the early 19th century: a deluge of investment into a new form of infrastructure which stabilised when people realised that it wasn't nearly as scalable or profitable as was predicted because, here again, ai doesn't actually generate revenue which justifies this much investment

>>62275703
There is no safe point of entry. There's only safe amounts. Buy a small harmless amount. When it goes up, THEN you set your trailing stop loss. Then you buy a little more. Then a little more. When it gets up to +30% or so you can get really brave and pile serious money in.

Also, make sure your stop loss set up correctly. Make sure it is GTC (good till cancelled) and that it is set for percentages, not points. Otherwise there will be much gnashing of teeth.
>>
>>62275711
150 NW is great, but having so much in retirement is pretty useless. if you want to retire early just take the drag associated with holding and trading in a taxable account. if you're really planning on working until you're 65 or whatever the fuck the age is, then stay the course

You are in a recession but it takes 24 months for economics to really play out IRL and markets (at which point spart money has already existed)

Like in 2007, everyone involved in finance knew shit was fucked but normies did not realise they were fucked until 2009. You are in late 2007 right now. All asset classes are overvalued and due a fairly major correction. Tariff bankrupcies and unemployment won't even really kick in in full for maybe anoher six monhs for example. 2027 is going to be a recession in the US. Markets are disconneced from realiy entirely on value as is gold and crypto. stocks are bad value dompared to savings accounts, gold will hurt when you could be getting 5% on the monney instead. Multiple tops in assets accross the board right now.

You see most companies (and individuals) will fight tooth and nail to survive, it takes a while before they actually just get crushed flat and have to bankrupt.

There's still room to edge into Micron, provided you buy on the upswing in small safe increments. As far as the mutual fund/ETF-to-stock ratio goes, that depends on your comfort level. Remember when the AI bubble pops it will take much of the tech sector with it, and even a lot of safe stodgey blue chip funds are 40%-50% invested in tech. Maybe now is the time to quietly start building a pile of cash.
>>
>>62275843
Youlre going to get wiped out by 20-30% because you won;t even have dividends to compensate when this flatlines for a decade. You'll probbaly liquidate at some point in a couple of years at a loss to cover personal debts or housing costs

That's only true for a tiny number of companies that are in a unique capex cycle. I already said I don;t even consider nvida, msft bad stocks. However when he index goes so will hey as index funds sell off. The marke is overvalued. There are some absolutely urkes buried in here too that are going to get completely wiped out on the other end of he spectrum.

Valuations are oo high, interest rates are going up and the US is entering a recession next year and everyone knows it. Smart money is already exiting, not just stocks but gold and crypto are going to take a dump as well along with bond coupons. cash will be kind for a little while, especially given he problems buildinng up in private credit. Micron actually makes chips though. NVDA just sends off their demonic doodle to TSMC who then etches their hellgate onto a piece of sand which allows us to communicate with the demons.

It has before. The lights have come on.The boucers are clearing he dancefloor and you are still waving your arms around in the corner with your eyes shut. It's time to go.

1 All things have their season, and in their times all things pass under heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal. A time to destroy, and a time to build. 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance. 5 A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather. A time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.

6 A time to get, and a time to lose. A time to keep, and a time to cast away. 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew. A time to keep silence, and a time to speak. 8 A time of love, and a time of hatred. A time of war, and a time of peace. 9 What hath man more of his labour? 10 I have seen the trouble, which God hath given the sons of men to be exercised in it.
