Because the supply for CPU chips is fine (right now). I still have some INTC myself, but I didn't expect the market to actually figure out how important memory was (I stopped buying MU at $80 and started selling off at $350, fully out now with my last sell at $820).
It could still run up higher though for INTC, my cost basis is $32 and I started trimming as soon as it went above $100. Still have 80 shares left to see where it goes, but that would require memory manufacturing to increase a shit ton in a short amount of time. Remember, a traditional AI server needs both RAM for the GPU and RAM for the CPU. Maybe this will change around a bit as more companies start doing more inference on unified designs, but those still also need a shit ton of RAM as well.

Is there a reason not to put some money into SOXS when it is at historical lows? The semiconductor industry is very cyclical. I think it is guaranteed that this boom eventually passes and many SOXS goes way up again.

Why not throw a few hundred bucks of YOLO money at SOXS in case it 100x in a few years? Seems guaranteed to spike up again eventually.

I know it's difficult to wrap your head around the fact that their earnings are ballooning four times faster than the price of the stock. It's difficult for me, and I've been championing Micron since late last year. But there it is.

That said, this market is completely irrational. What they bestow can also be taken away in a couple of days. Look at February. Look at March. It went down 30%, and if something had happened to put a hole in the AI bubble it would have never recovered. Yes, it's a great value. But don't get greedy. Buy a little. When it goes up, reward it by buying a little more. When your stop loss executes, have the self discipline to let the sonovabitch alone. Then let it recover and start all over. To hell with maximizing gains. I want to protect my ass.

Here endeth the sermon.

You can always sell. I made more today in MU than I did with nvidia in the past 6 months. But I am not bagholding im up from 170's in in nvidia. Though I should've sold at 230, but hey good of time as any now.

Nvidia has been a major disappointment the past 6 months. It's approaching November/December 2025 levels of $190-200, and the stock keeps dropping every single day.

Even if it gets a nice healthy green candle, say 6%, it will only break even. Thats how bad it is.

I'm not betting on MU long term months, but for the next week im all in.

memory demand increase is faster than the supply increase
back a decade ago, people thought 1080ti was the end of gpu's, it would last you a lifetime, and 32gb of memory was overkill

today 1080ti can barely run latest AAA games 1080p and 32gb is bare minimum for a good pc
the increase in compute need is magnitudes higher for AI datacenters

clueless people not aware of the sector think that memory demand won't increase, but each new gen requires more compute
like video games, people don't optimize it to be more efficient but actually really on the compute to be faster in getting new models out
>>
>>62276497
Micron has the industry by the balls due to memory shortages and memory isn't something you can just ramp up production of. It takes years to build out a new factory and get production rolling.

Everybody hates the movies because in north america its overly melanated compared to the 90's, plus you got mass shooters, plus its expensive plus all the movies are slop.

Its just too dangerous to be outside in north america at least in big cities.

Everyone in america acts like its a warzone, It really is, always have to stay armed. Most americans are moving like gang members, people are armed with military grade weapons just to go outside.
