what is preventing someone from manufacturing fake perfect replicas of rare cards?
>>62310637it's impossible to create perfect replicas
>>62310637knowledge
>>62310637It’s pretty much being done, just obviously there is a cost hurdle in that you need both production size and the right tech. If you have it, you are "printing money" as long as you don’t go too rampantly, which would either expose your fake cards or crash the whole market. So the people who do it (in China), they stay on the down low.Meanwhile for a lot of older card types that don’t have strong fake protection (i.e. early MtG without any holo), there is a lot of public services by now printing "proxies" that are good enough to fool the vast majority of collectors.
>>62310872when you use a magnifying glass the differences between the fakes and the real ones are extremely easy to spot. in order to create "perfect" replicas you would need the exact same printing machinery and materials and process

HOLY FUCK IM RICH
>>62310621This is a retarded investment. The first edition Blastoise my father bought for me in 1999 is no more valuable today than it was then.
>>62310637I bought top tier proxies randomly off DHgate years ago. I made $30,000 in a month it was nuts. They cost me $70 for 300 random S tier cards in all sorts of card variants. I had to talk to some guy guy directly on WhatsApp to organize everything. I even had to blindly send money without any proof I would get them. Everything worked great. I then bought top tier land cards. They didn’t sell great so I kept those. I tried to buy more a few years ago, those proxies are going for $1500 for 25. No guarantee on what you would get card wise. Damn I should have bought way more when I had the chance
Real $ is in OP
>>62311191you do know mods have your IP and can tell the police to track you down, right?
>>62311210Anyone who bought proxies thinking they were real absolutely deserved it. Until all TCG players realize the true danger in being comfortable with proxies, it's all fair game.I applaud every anon that sells fakes to brokies who refuse to see the light
>>62311199The three packs I opened are gonna MAKE ME RICH
>>62311091objectively yes its just shiny cardboard rectangle but as long as nukes dont launch and ai doesnt pop off (societal collapse) these are the best performing asset to hold by far. anything else is cope. get you some poke ee man or stay poor
>>62311210Good for them faggot
>>62311199OP is a fad imo theres no way bandai dont ruin it within the next 5-10 years
