>nthropic PBC President Daniela Amodei said Thursday that the high costs of training artificial intelligence models are pushing companies like hers to seek capital from public markets, following the company’s confidential IPO filing earlier this week.

>"It’s a very capital-intensive business to train AI models," Amodei said at the Bloomberg Tech conference in San Francisco. She added that the public market is "very well-suited to that."

The whole theory behind Tesla is that it’ll have major growth with self driving taxis, US based mega-battery production, and further EV adoption, plus it’s historically been the only vehicle for the general public to have exposure to Elon’s shenanigans. I personally think it’s overvalued, but it’s not in a cyclical business like memory stocks, so if revenue goes up for Tesla it means it general footprint is growing, which further reinforces its growth model. Meanwhile memory is a commodity, shape revenue increases while good in short term either mean two things: sudden demand contraction or eventual oversupply that crushes prices.

>Anthropic's annual revenue for 2025 was over 9 billion
These companies don't seem to be running out of money
>>
>>62325241
Yes and? It's still losing money, they're also now expanding at a faster rate than before as they try and gain more market share

59% of Google's profits were due to revaluation of Anthropic, the valuation itself is determined by investors like Google, the billions Google gives Anthropic is then used by Anthropic to pay for Google's compute and TPUs, Google is round tripping, similar story for Amazon too
>>
>>62325243
Do you really think the AI arms race is stopping any time soon?
Even if you think AI has no or very limited utility, that's not what the national security narrative is about. Bailouts are baked in. Without them, the US basically has no real economic growth.

>Yet a footnote in Google’s earnings release, and a bullet point under the net-income section of Amazon’s, tells a different story about where those profits came from. Nearly half of Alphabet’s record $62.6 billion profit—about $28.7 billion—”did not come from search ads, cloud services or any of its products at all. It came from Alphabet updating the value of the equity it owns in private companies, primarily Anthropic, the AI startup in which Alphabet holds a stake estimated at 14% before the announcement of an additional $40 billion commitment last week.
>Amazon disclosed a similar figure even more directly. Its earnings release stated that first-quarter net income “includes pre-tax gains of $16.8 billion included in non-operating income from our investments in Anthropic”—more than half of Amazon’s pre-tax income (or profit) for the quarter.
These stocks are grossly overvalued based on paper gains from a private company that these same companies that report paper profits from determine the value of

2. Leonardo Dicaprio- the most unconvincing "irishman" in cinema history. Anyway decent acting

3. Cameron Diaz - the most unconvincing "irishwoman" in cinema history. Meh acting, clear miscast.

4. Very interesting setting, and the 19th Century NYC is very well built by Scorcese, mostly thanks to the movie being 2 hour 30 min long. Very fleshed out world-building.

5. A chaotic movie with a shit ton of things happening, but nothing feels dull or stupid. It was just a fun movie. A bit chaotic at the end.

The stock market should have brakes on it
like
once a stock reaches 100x earning, it needs a reverse circuit breaker. and it basically tells the buyer this stock is trading far above its earnings and to buy it you have to be a professional investor or professional broker. So only people that are professional would be able to buy it. And retail would have to pay a broker to buy it for them.

inverse as well, when a stock hits 1x its book value non professionals won't be able to sell it unless they hired a professional to do it for them

something really needs to be done about these fucking bubbles that blow out of control. the fed isn't doing shit. they should be ramping up rates but they fucking won't because mid terms are up and the republican party's electorical chance is more important than the financial security of america.

the correction that happened today was badly needed. a little short term pain is better than the pain of what will happen if this bubble keeps growing at the rate it is.

i really hope this dip shook all the retards out, and we can continue on without them, and finish up the year up like 3%,or something sane.

I don't knw why the fuck every time we get good gains, all the retards always have to pile in, run it up 50%, and fuck it all up for everybody, especially their own fucking selves because they're the ones buying the top.

Can someone explain to me who the buyer is in a leveraged ETF at the end of the market day?

I made some decent money today with the MUD leveraged bear ETF against micron since MU was falling. But I still don't know how it works.

You are supposed to sell your position every day in a leveraged ETF, right? So who is buying minutes from market close when it is at a high? Does the fund operator itself buy back shares? I just don't understand who is buying when the price is at a peak and the market is about to close when you aren't supposed to hold them overnight. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to sell it but it sold immediately.

if stock market valuations grow at the same rate as earnings, and say earnings grow at 10% a year, so you have 10% growth in valuations, give or take a few. The stock market would be a smooth, reliable ride where everybody wins and you don't have to worry except for black swan events. you wouldn't have to worry about shit like 60% dumps. I'd be fine with the stock market being up 15% a year, it's on the high end, and if it got a little out of control a 7% dip would set it right.

the big crashes come from the retards piling in, and running a bubble up 100%, 200%, and 300% in some cases.

A bubble isn't bad if it's tempered. Even a bubble running up 30% isn't the end of the world, as long as t gets a small correction or two. Bubbles can even be good if people putting money into it don't lose their absolute minds. They turn bad after a certain point.

Jobs numbers were better than expected
That, plus inflation still being high, means the Fed will probably have to raise rates, even though Trump will scream and bitch about it

But the -hardware boom- is not a bubble, it is prepaid through 2028 so all hardware companies will keep posting gains even if AI software llms all collapse and fucking die in 2028.

Also micron specifically abandoned the consumer market, crucial doesn't exist anymore, CXMT selling consumer grade ddr4 to consumers in the west in 2028 doesn't ave any impact on their underlying because they gave up the consumer market because of the "sell all your shit to google" value proposition.
