as an additional point, roid mining is seriously overblown.

you're talking about either launching dedicated missions to go out and mine unstable bodies that are often full of gas pockets and all the usual mining problems, digging through a km of rock in space when this cant be done solo by machines on earth and then flying it back (you know, the heaviest elements out there)
or you're talking about moving things that weigh as much as a skyscraper so they crash into earth

in either case, you need retarded amounts of delta v and fuel (which is very very heavy), to the point spaceX doesn't bring you any closer to either being remotely profitable.

the palladium and tantalum and shit is at the core of the dead failed protoplanet, like it is on other bodies with dead cores, the moon and mars for example.
you don't just land and lander and scoop up the gold and iridium with a robotic shovel (not that that would really be profitable either)

i am looking at BAE which is a British defence company, there is somewhat of a potential near term catalysts with the UK defence minister under starmer resigning in protest due to the chronic under funding of the British defence force and calls by the conservative parties (all of which are likely to win the next election) to drastically increase defence spending could provide a large boon for the company as the UK may seek to focus on its own domestic industry due to the unreliability of the US

Depends on your investment aims.
This is a volatile market with life changing opportunities every single day, there are tonnes of get rich quick risky plays. What is the material difference between having £5,000 or £10,000 in your account?

Neither will afford you a house or meaningfully change your station.

If you are young and steadily employed I would recommend extreme risk tolerance, even at 3% your cash is realistically losing money.

ETFs are relatively safe but won't make you wealthy anytime soon.

I am not meming when I say GRRR could be the Asian NBIS, they have the contracts signed, the only test is the delivery and execution over the next 6 months. But the upside is enormous.

Also:

If you are just starting out, forget dividends entirely and focus on growth stocks. Some of which like GOOGL do pay a dividend but it is miniscule for now.

If you really are desperate for a dividend play then look at Admiral Insurance ADM and Blue Owl OBDC.

But I would recommend growth stocks, even GOOGL & RR (Rolls Royce) still have a lot of room to grow over the next 5 years. MU & SNDK are cheap and will be cheap for the next 2 years. AAIO is also cheap.

But I am the gorillionaire I like GRRR the most :3

>(Reuters) – Microsoft has been sued by shareholders who accused the company of defrauding them and inflating its stock price by failing to disclose slowing growth in its Azure cloud business and the need to spend billions of dollars on artificial intelligence infrastructure.

>The proposed class action led by a Michigan pension fund was filed in Seattle federal court on Friday, after Microsoft shares fell 10% on Jan. 29 in response to its quarterly earnings report a day earlier.

About $357 billion of market value was erased, and Microsoft’s stock suffered its biggest one-day decline in nearly six years.

>Microsoft said on Monday it believes the claims are “without merit,” adding, “Microsoft stands by the integrity of its public statements and will vigorously defend itself in court.”

If you just count liquid assets 0.22 out of 10 people, or 2.2-2.5% of the US are millionaires

401k's and iras, boomer houses in cali and NYC dont count because usually people dont move out or sell since they are family homes or nobody buys them, and 401k's are retarded because boomies can't cash them out until they are practically dead or having medical problems.

So 2.2% of people have 1 million USD+ in assets that they have actually invested, but how many of those are old people and people who are pushing 50's/business owners?

The real number of actual young people who have anywhere close to a million USD, is probably closer to 0.1-0.2% of the US population.

Meaning if you see someone under the age of 50 there's a 99.8% chance they are broke or aren't rich.

economic activity goes down
velocity of money goes down even harder
I don't understand how any of this is inflationary, just because prices are up? that's the babby definition of inflation, I thought central banks were smarter than this.

Its still skewed towards old people having all the money because when elderly have a home, sometimes they are worth a lot like in oregon or california, but a lot of times the average price is like 120-200k for their old ass house that needs work when it was built in 1980s, combine that with whatever they have in their pension, 401k, ira whatever else they probably barely crack 1 million or 1.5 million total net worth.

Zoomies have none of that, not even a house, not even a fucking career, not even a pot to piss in, not even a car to sleep in.

Zoomies are fucking broke with a capital B.

So if you're a zoomie with even close to 500k-700k networth, you are literally richer than most people, besides extreme cases like old money, lotteries and crypto buttcorn gamblers.

OIL IS EVERYWHERE

Using conventional methods, we have 1000 years of oil to drill.

Using fracking, we have 10,000 years of oil to drill.

Both of these only tap into a tiny percentage of the oil in the Earth. As technology improves, we'll be able to reach the majority of oil, providing us with 100,000s of years of oil.

Coal and natural gas are more useful than oil, and also more plentiful.

Oil will go back to $50/barrel, then it will go even lower as technology continues to rapidly improve and push oil costs down.

They literally have a giant conveyor belt in the permian basin that is longer than Texas in length. It's used to transport fracking sand to oil wells. The oil industry is hyper efficient, especially once this is finished being built, and then it will become even more efficient.

Long term, oil will likely go below $20/barrel. None of you know this, because you're not a hardcore oil nerd like me. You're all just tourists. Oil is worthless. It's going to $20. If you want something scarce and useful, buy silver.

INB4 "what about muh asteroid mining." Okay, asteroids like Eros and Psyche are still mostly rock, and are likely failed planets, making them massive in size. Mining into them to find precious metals would be like mining into Earth. And by the same logic, the universe is full of hydrocarbons. Not only does Titan have oceans made of hydrocarbons 3x larger than Earth's oceans, but space (or the interstellar medium) is full of gas, including hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are hyper common. Oil is worthless. No one cares. Only Americans go long on oil, and you're all about to lose all your money.
