>be honest with me, are data center stocks done for?
classic double top before the pop. AI not generating $$ like they claimed, so why build more data centers? Data centers being cancelled, postponed, or delayed and will continue unless they figure out how to overcome the issues. The large supply chain supporting AI will continue to surge for a bit until everyone realizes the AI engine as stopped, then everything will finally stop and the prices crash. But, what's the next big thing to rotate into? Quantum? Its still early for quantum and if it continues to take off you will see the same supply chain surge for quantum components, you just need to ID them early enough and sell off for your 5x or 10x gains before quantum slumps on delays.

1. All markets pop. That’s the cycle it will never stop. The thing I look at here. Is the stock market is now 240% GDP roughly.

2. Look at the chart. Ever since 2008 injection to save the system. The market has been developing an unmistakable exponential curve. We all know where they go.

If you’ve made a lot of money out of this 16 year never before witnessed. Time to box clever is coming soon enough clearly.

Here’s the top DWCF/GDP ratios. The height of Dotcom only makes 23. Kek.

1. Q4 2025 — 228.7%
2. Q3 2025 — 226.0%
3. Q4 2021 — 218.7%
4. Q1 2026 — 218.1%
5. Q2 2021 — 215.7%
6. Q2 2025 — 214.1%
7. Q3 2021 — 210.8%
8. Q4 2024 — 210.3%
9. Q3 2024 — 207.9%
10. Q1 2021 — 205.9%
11. Q1 2022 — 202.9%
12. Q2 2024 — 199.6%
13. Q4 2020 — 198.3%
14. Q1 2025 — 197.7%
15. Q1 2024 — 197.3%
16. Q4 2023 — 182.0%
17. Q2 2023 — 177.7%
18. Q3 2020 — 175.6%
19. Q2 2020 — 173.1%
20. Q3 2023 — 167.1%
21. Q1 2023 — about 166.9%
22. Q2 2022 — about 163.8%
23. Q1 2000 — about 162.6%
>>
>>62447396

You’re attempting to brush past the actual warning sign. This ratio is not measuring “new tech hype” in isolation. It is basically asking how expensive is the entire stock market compared with the real economy underneath it.

AI can make some companies more profitable for sure. But it still has to turn into actual sales, profits, wages, spending, taxes, and GDP. It is not magic outside the economy. The fundamentals of economics aren’t changed by a revolution in technology.

A higher average over time may be fair because markets changed, rates changed, and big US firms earn globally. But that does not mean any level is stable. When the ratio stretches this far, and this fast, you are pulling future returns into today’s price. Maybe it runs longer, but the risk is obvious now. Lower future returns, bigger downside, and less room for disappointment. All it takes is one bad bit of news. And poof. Just like all the times before.
>>
>>62447413
>All markets pop
I'm not the one to say "this time is different", but I wouldn't be too shocked if the differences in how stocks are being traded changes the mechanics a little bit, where the crashes won't be nearly as severe and will recover much faster than before with bear markets being much less of a concern, but, you know, we'll see. The world and technology changes faster and faster and while I wouldn't assume it'd totally change how markets operate, it may smoothen them out in certain directions. The increased portion of algorithmical trades, where every dip is a buying opportunity and the government is ready to bail everyone out once things start to look dire with larger portion of markets operating with much higher margins than before are just some of the factors to consider.

Lot of “what ifs” there. When we are sitting at the top of a clear exponential climb. And zero cash flow to see for any of the companies driving it. Yes zero.

Avoid hopium and copium. They are the heroin and poison of bags.
>>
>>62447437
That's kind of in line what I'm trying to say. We do appear to be extended, I wouldn't really try to argue against that too much. It's more about the idea of being extended by 80% compared to dotcom, where it would imply that we're in worse situation by 80% compared to dotcom bubble, which would then imply that we're in for a much bigger pullback compared to dotcom bubble.

And it's not that I'm saying that that's what the post claimed, just that it is a fairly natural interpretation that doesn't necessarily hold. As you've typed, the ratios do seem to be increasing over time and to me it may be even accelerating, meaning that we may be 80% higher than dotcom bubble, but that doesn't mean that the situation is 80% worse by any stretch of the imagination due to the baseline ratio being much higher, thus the extension may not be that large in comparison and may go much higher before we start pulling back and the pullback may not be that large.

That being said I wouldn't even necessarily claim that that is the case, just that it's something that could be interpreted from the chart, which I do think seems reasonable.

And yall who know the future cant figure out how to profit from it. Fascinating

It’s just a discussion pal. And who claimed to know the future. Nobody does. Hence why we used metrics and ratios that have proved good indicators to the future. So you’re easily dismissed. You added nothing.

The semi crash seems really fake and gay
>>
>>62447444
Yeah, I'd expect there to be a downturn somewhere next year. How big? Who knows? Honestly, for me the play seems to be to stay in semis/datacenter infrastructure for now and then rotate depending upon how things will develop. Possibly back into MAG7 winners or the next big thing (robotics/quantum/space) or some generic sectors (software/energy/metals + miners/consumer staples if things start to look dire).

Due to timelines we should be closing toward the next bear market anyway and the AI cycle/datacenter building stage ending seem like a perfect overlap, though I don't think that the recession will be all that severe. My guess is that we still have until like Q1/Q2 of the next year, though honestly I can see Don trying to do everything to try to avoid it.

Yeah I’d agree with that thesis generally. The big top isn’t in yet. They are injecting money into the markets regularly now. But do you think there looks like an imminent? See image. The 2 year SMA seems to be the support?

Obviously that’s a broad market correct of about 15%. Would represent a great buying opportunity for around October and a huge Christmas rally. Bigger dip opportunity in different sectors naturally.

Caveats. Multiple potential black swan events lurking that must be monitored in the wars, trade wars and monetary battles.
>>
>>62447476
Not much of a technical analyst. With the expected severity something like 15-20% would fit to me personally, but every downturn is different and specific. If the correction will be impacting mainly the AI/tech sector, then chips/mag 7 will suffer dearly, but mag 7 is already pretty beaten down, so it'll all probably get absorbed by chip and AI infrastructure, which is likely to just showcase as line going down on some screens. The question is whether it'll take something else with it. If the private credit gets impacted it could have much more long-lasting impact for the whole market with something like pension funds also getting hit.

But again, who exactly knows? Every crash itself is a black swan event in a way. Either way the idea that everyone's talking and being aware of the bubble and fearful of it is actually kind of comforting rather than concerning. It's the euphoria that tends to be scary.

Also what if the AI experiment actually works out and boosts GPD to match evaluation and everything fine and dandy? (won't happen, sure, but strangely almost no one seems to consider this scenario)

>Also what if the AI experiment actually works out and boosts GPD to match evaluation and everything fine and dandy? (won't happen, sure, but strangely almost no one seems to consider this scenario)

The country really has bet the farm on this like never before. And it’s still completely uncertain. Stunning gamble when you think about it. It’s not like there’s even unanimity among the AI talking heads and actual operators. Karps comments about other CEOs complaining to him their arses are blood red with AI bills for no competitive gain. And that OpenAI could be getting all their IP advantage data. Is a revealing thing lately. Things are not going as promised. Not at all.

>The country really has bet the farm on this like never before
Well, that's the thing. Not that many do ague that AI isn't a very promising, if not fully transformative technological wave. The devil is in the details, where the actual progress as expenditure with uncertain revenue streams are generally the issue. That's kind of the consensus. AI being a worthy endeavour, it's just that it'll be a very bumpy road with somewhat uncertain results.

One thing to consider is that so many of these huge MAG7 giants are going in so deep into it. If it was such a horrible idea it's kind of odd that it'd catch on so well.

Of course I'm not suggesting that they are some flawless fortune tellers that aren't prone to bandwagoning on regarded ideas, but I'm not ruling out the possibility that they may actually have more information than me and as such their investments may not be such a horrible idea.

Either way it's not like there is much for me to do. Just monitor the situation and see how it'll develop. So far they're unloading their cash, so I'll be where the cash is unloading. If it'll look like the cash is getting good returns I'll rotate to ride the revenue wave. Simple as.

what do you mean soon? there are so many forever wars going on right now already

>Ukraine going for 4 years
>Mass genocidal civil war in Myanmar stacking hundreds of thousands of bodies
>Mass genocidal civil war in Sudan that is stacking millions of bodies
>Israel stacking bodies in Palestine/Lebanon

More people died in 1 battle in Sudan last week than when we nuked Japan and it didn't even make the news lol,

I could sperg out about the narratives but you guys don't care. TLDR China is incentivizing the Myanmar war and the UAE is backing the Sudan war and the US is backing the Ukrainian war.

We are basically already in WW3 and they found a way to do it by just running tons of proxy wars that zoomers don't even care about reading about.

It all comes back to fundamentals eventually. These companies are selling unprecedented amounts of corporate bonds to fund it now that their cash isn't enough and it's stressing the system and driving up yields. But it's not increasing the credit spread so it's effecting the entire market.

We're actually seeing credit spreads tighten between high yield junk bonds and the investment grade corporate bonds

Interesting. One must consider also the feeler stories being put out for US Gov taking stake in OpenAI. It’s clear they are now struggling to find capital. Given the industry’s cash burn rate. I see why the deflationary story is flipping to inflationary around AI.

There will have to be large amount of easing from the Gov to just keep it going soon. Good for the semis bets etc. But the overall story looks bad ultimately. Unless spectacular revenue materialises soon. And some fucking cash flow! Remember that? Making money. Kek.

The big 4 are looking at an estimated $800 Billion capex burn for 2026. These numbers are getting so large now. That they pose a significant question as to sovereigns credit worthiness if they backstop it all. And the US Treasury Bill isn’t exactly the hot commodity as it is.

>>
>>62447592

I should add. The 2026 budget is about $4,800 Billion. 22% is interest payments alone (rising rates will probably see it to 25% soon enough). Deficit for year is about $2,000 Billion (yes, and it will probably got to 3,000 Billion by year end ).

Sticky.

is advice only for dumbasses imo. you should actively enter and exit markets/companies when they feel

>just buy VOO and chill
is okay advice long-term but it was advice for people named Sharon who worked as a gas station attendant and her hobbies were watching TV and going to Disney world.

most of you are like Sharon. you are fucking retarded and you just ape shit. but if you aren't a retard you can feel when to enter/exit and you should be able to outperform something like QQQ just buy trading QQQ all year. if you cant do this you shouldn't be trading at all.

Sudan and Myanmar both impact control of oil pipeline with the big boys on the chess board.

There are a lot of big dick moves being made globally right now. Its interesting to me atleast to be aware of things like this even if you don't care about Muslims mass genociding christians in the millions while its 100% scrubbed from the news

Give the calculation for a high cost urban real rate of inflation is 50-60% when you factor the actual costs people have and not the ridiculous CPI.

You’re beating inflation by maybe 20% in 5 years. Not exactly spectacular.
