>Are these fast charging batteries for these EVs actually a real thing? Every time I see something about some battery breakthrough it ends up being fake and gay so I stopped caring.
Compared to lithium the new sodium based batteries from CTAL (banned in US) have few advantages namely higher charge cycle counts, much wider operating temperature range and cost less per kwh, but they have lower kwh/kg density. Good for cheap shitbox EV's and static electricity grid storage, but not that good for portable devices or higher end EV's. Huge advantage in raw materials needed as they don't need cobalt

Flushing out retail, liquidating and suiciding koreans and hitting your stop losses.

The market is a carnivorous monster that feeds on the hopes and dreams of sniggers. Every few months on the full moon the Yiddish Wall Street goblins lets the beast out to feed on the blood of baggies.

Once the market monster has his pound of baggot flesh, he returns to a restful slumber and the games begin anew.

I'd say this morning will be the last of the feed, a sharp drop on open then a powerful midday V when the beast is gone.

PLTR has some of the best prospects for the Ai boom with incredible growth behind it. It's been selling a future promise, but I could believe it. The one thing is that you kind of need is for AI to be the real deal and think that someone won't eat their lunch, but considering their military intelligence application it's got at least some base case that should hold, though it also can be a restriction as it may limit them to some degree to US- military friendly markets, which should suffice for most intents and purposes, but it's something to consider.
Tesla is currently pivoting to robotics, which is by some expected to be the next big boom that may start materializing around 2030? It's another future promise, which I'm not all that much into as I wasn't too impressed by Tesla's car production and Musk in general, but I can see how someone can be a believer.

No, not quite. When the recession, or rather depression, comes, I'll guarantee you oil will dump alongside stocks. And I say that as someone 80% in oil.
In the current context you're right, stocks should dump as oil pumps. The problem is the order here. It's not oil pumping that made stocks dump, it's stocks that started dumping first, and THEN oil that pumped.
It's fucking retarded.

Capex only seems to be increasing. Meta memo confirmed doubling down on buying semis recently. Chinks may be producing and may be increasing their market share, but for now it's mostly shitty consumer-grade product lines that aren't used in AI datacenters and main drivers of the memory/semis revenue, at least for the foreseeable future.

Not sure exactly how it'll look within a year, but I don't see much changing for the next 6 months, where the biggest question seems to be capex rather than anything else (which doesn't seem to be stopping). The only other thing that can give is OpenAI/Anthropic keeling over, but even if it happens it likely won't be as soon as that.

Not sure how much upside is there now, but the memory makers are currently on like 7 forward P/E. I honestly feel like buying the gook dip might be a great play, though I'm not sure what the bottom is.

It's funny how the US is doing everything it can to prevent China from getting any chips. They're saying China has to be stopped. They're going round saying they might kill everybody and take everybody's jobs. They're blocking models from being used by non US citizens.

And China, meanwhile, is saying they hope to be able to work with the world in making beneficial AI to improve the lives of everyone in the world. And then releasing the open weights of their models for everyone to use, as well s the source code so the other AI labs can learn from their techniques.

I never really paid much attention to China, and didn't really think anything about all the chest beating all the time about how China is bad. It's got me thinking about all the other shit they say about China.

Exactly, if. That's why meta selling their excess compute power was such a potential warning sign, but it then turned to nothing. So far I only see figures increasing, suppressing the value of MAG7 that does all the spending. How much higher and how much longer can it go for? I don't know. Predictions from chips manufacturers indicate shortages for up until 2030 with MU making a multiple year agreements with price floors. It sure sounds fragile, that's why everyone is so sell happy, but for now all the information I've seen is pretty bullish.

Hope it'll translate to stock prices eventually, but who the fuck knows at this point? Maybe Hymen will just keep trading at around 7 forward P/E ratio or even lower.
>>
>>62492888
I don't really disagree with you
>for now all the information I've seen is pretty bullish.
I've seen a lot of data pointing to bear cases. Not that I buy the bear case. There's so much market data that you can use any piece, or combination of market data to paint literally any narrative that you want.

Most of the really important data is very bullish, though.

Well, I guess it depends upon the bearish data, but from what I've seen it's mostly concerns and doubt. I do get the concerns and I think they're somewhat valid, but it's mostly concerns. It's pointing out at where the whole setup may fail and then acting upon it before it does. I think that the most obvious issue is the ROI of the investors, but that does seems to be baked in and despite everything they are still hungrier and hungrier for parts, where the companies buying them don't really need the AI boom to work out and if they didn't see it working out they can just cut their losses and be mostly fine and be winners in this whole boom, so if they're haven't done that yet, then that's pretty bullish overall, but you can call out something like hubris and sunken cost fallacy and it might be correct, though it's not the same as something like metaverse, where this would be pretty damn massive mass hysteria, so I don't think demand destruction looks to be happening, unless we get some amazing model breakthrough that reduces computing needs, but that'd probably just increase margins for hyperscale's, so they can spend over more for computing for even more inflated prices.

The other side is supply and while that may be concerning, especially for memory/chips, the main driver behind the profits are more sophisticated types of HBM that just aren't that easy to produce and getting them online may take competitors years, so while it may happen eventually, it's just not too likely anytime soon.

I've also seen the opinion that the demand for computing in AI may actually be exponential, meaning that we may always be having higher and higher demands for compute power than we can not reasonably satisfy anytime soon, if ever. Then there's also the question of personal AI agents and robotics/self-driving cars starting to hoover more parts in the future, especially memory.

Either way I'm holding my heavy chip bags for now. If it's the hill I die on, so be it.

I'm weary of those as well.
However. AGNC preferred stocks at below $24.99 at least theoretically have price appreciation "built in."
Those are like a "highest yield saving account."
If the preferred stocks of AGNC are offered at zero-commission brokers like robbin'hood, then DCA'ing a little into them (a fraction of what you wanted to stash away for half an eternity anyhow) probably doesn't hurt.
If there's another le 2008 I'd think the average person will face bigger problems then their AGNC preferred stock to shit the bed.
