I'm starting to get worried about my heavy chip bags. Not because I think that the trade is over. Capex will increase and chips will print for the foreseeable future, I'm not all too concerned about that (at least not yet), but I suspect that people won't care anymore and the stocks won't pump as much anymore, if at all, where the sentiment may never shift back even if something like MU will trade on 5-6 forward P/E,

The question then is what's the lesson here? Like I've waited for a dip for buy and once it started to go up I went in, but it happened to be a move from buyer's to seller's territory on a starting downwards trend, so I'm not sure that was much of a mistake.

I guess it's the stop loss, where I'm treating this as a longer term investment, when I've actually tried to execute more of a trade. I guess I don't mind holding my heavy chip bags for longer as the thesis hasn't been really broken, so we may still turn around due to the fundamentals.

I'm not leveraged and I did put only like half my portfolio into S.M.H., so my losses aren't likely to be astronomical either way, It's not over, but I guess that the lesson is to have more defined strategy, where I don't combine more in one and that despite improving fundamentals in a sector the sentiment can shift due to variety of reasons outside of the fundamentals.

Not to mention a potential of some massive news that the insiders know that are triggering a massive selloff, but if that's it, then so be it, I'll just take an L then, not much to do here.

What I've learned from chips is to always sell on a new ATH. The price will inevitably fall so you won't be missing out on bigger gains. Had I sold MU and AMD at their ATH, going in at open yesterday would have allowed me to buy 20-30% more shares.

That's what I've been on about. I'm in for the long term in general, but with how much more can be gained over basic indexing with rotations and momentum trading being a big deal, I've been trying to figure out a way of beating the market as it's something that could just be an infinite money glitch if I can hone the skill well enough. I've finally made some semis research and all I've been seeing is that fundamentals are increasing and should be for some time, so I pounced in when it seemed to be an alright entry point.

>>62496627
I guess I should've waited for a larger dip and if it didn't come to just stay away, but I didn't buy the exact ATH, so I was trying to buy the dip, it just wasn't big enough.

Kek, you joke, but overcoming greed is extremely difficult. If it wasn't everyone would be a winner.
>>
>>62496656
the problem is you literally don't know where the top is or where the bottom is, and unless you guess it perfectly it's almost always better over time to just hold and buy more over time whilst the market moves.
You only need to get it wrong once to wipe out lots of gains, and you will get it wrong more than you get it right.

there are plenty of studies on this.

What's the point in making it if you missed out on teenage love? If you experienced it, you have something even the likes of Elon Musk simply can't buy, and can lowkey mog them too.

Notice how teenage love is a central theme in in every media trope possible. Even in futuristic, ancient, fictional or fantasy lore, experiencing teenage love is a major theme. The Lion King, Avatar, Star Wars, Anime.. and so on. They all have the stereotypical first love moments that are big themes in these grand fictional universes, showing how the reality of teen love genuinely transcends human imagination wherever it goes

Memory is suffering a lot of pull backs, but if you look at the AMD chart it has been a moonshot since spring if you were selling at each ATH you would be losing money constantly. And before then it was crabbing for years without clear times to sell.

As someone smart once said, "time in the market always beats timing the market".

I read something the other day which was incredibly depressing.
The premise was that if you don't experience true love by the age of 25 you never will, because your brain is incapable of forming the neural pathways necessary for true love after the age of 25.
Basically, you need to learn to love whilst your brain is still malleable, or you never will.
Personally, for me, it tracks.
Didn't start dating until i was 29. Been in 3 relationships since then and basically felt nothing for any of them beyond lust and the mild comfort of companionship. My last relationship which just ended recently, she was perfect. Smart, funny, kind, hot, 5 years younger, would cook me meals and bake banana bread. But i just felt nothing.
Even when it ended i didn't feel much.
But who knows. Maybe i've just not met the right person.
>>
>>62496627
This wouldn't save you when it's dipping everyday. I bought a 15% dip only for it to keep sliding the selling at ATH means nothing if you're gonna buy in again.

apple is literally trying to buy chips from a blacklisted chinese military-affiliate corporation which has backdoors in all their shit

What the fuck?

Are we really seeing apple pump and micron dump on something which is obviously impossible. Why would the government sacrifice security to..... enable apple to shill iphones at a cheaper price. ‘We won’t wait for the enemy to increase strikes against our infrastructure.

We have begun to implemented a phased plan, which will end with the complete destruction of all regional energy and water-purification infrastructure, if the U.S. aggression against Iran does not immediately stop.

As part of the first stage of this plan, all powerplants and water desalination plants in Kuwait are now part of our target bank.’

The football world cup is an important geopolitical event.
Argentina is one of the biggest supporters of the war against Iran and Spain is the biggest critic.

If Israel can force a loss for Spain in this match with their colony argentina, then it will probably embolden the war effort. We might see boots on the ground by next week. And AI stocks will rise as they always do in oil shortages and war.

Watch this guys video as he scientifically explains that space X is decades ahead of other space companies, and they're making 13 billion per launch. If they send up data centers then they'll make 500 billion per launch.

I can't be sure you are trolling or not. But you don't even seem to understand how intent and reason changes how actions are viewed.
Spraying a cat with water to get it to stop doing something has a valid reason for it.
Spraying a cat just for the lulz is abuse yes, and anyone with a working brain understands this.

Lets make it even more simple. If you do something to someone that they dislike simply because it is funny then you are abusing that person or animal. It really is that simple.
Of course, a psychopath cannot understand this which is why they are psychopaths.

I see these wumao videos where its coding 3d games in real time, but I can't actually access the website since its fully at capacity.

The only concerning thing is that they say all the major LLM companies in the West reset usage limits in response, and no one has yet to confirm/deny this for me.

It's just your average benchmarkmaxxed Chinese model but you need a 3 million dollar cluster to run it if they ever do get around to releasing the weights for it (but they totally promise to!)
Even the Chinese comments on bilibili are complaining about getting throttled after just a bit of usage.
I'm less concerned about this Chinese junk and more concerned with more libtard states following New York banning data center expansion in the run up to the midterms to score points with luddites and retards. That would absolutely kill any momentum.

I'm a long-term oil super-bull (well over $200 this winter) but I think, from a game theory and philosophy of war perspective, both sides will want a ceasefire soon, which could send oil crashing back down $70 if the longs panic-sell.

the US needs to keep casualties low and the economy strong (high stocks, low fuel prices) until the mid-term elections, so that Trump can have a Republican win the midterms so that he can prosecute the war without serious legal challenges from the Democrats in Congress. in addition, they want to keep the price of crude low, even if it means higher fuel prices, so that Iran will have less funds from the oil that they do manage to get out.

the Iranians just need to hang on and keep shipping through the Strait of Hormuz disrupted long enough that oil inventories continue to fall until shortages happen. at this rate, strategic reserves around the world will run out sometime around December (yes the US's SPR has a legal limit of 252 million barrels; I'm sure that Hegseth and Trump will approve drawing down more than that) and are in no rush to escalate and bring Saudi Arabia and the UAE into the war by destroying their pipelines or even closing the Bab. yes their militaries suck but Iran is in a tough fight.

I'm waiting for either the next ceasefire and crash in prices, or Iran to destroy the pipelines before going back in. there's no rush, we can make a bunch of money this winter when oil shortages happen. don't lose your money before then due to a stupid headline.

When Kimi came out I tried it and asked it to code me an 80's style weather channel program.
Kimi took about 40 minutes, it iterated on it's own fixing all of the flaws, made sure the program worked properly and basically got it right in one go.
Also it generated some vaporwave music in there and I can also add my own stuff to the library.
Then it told me I ran out of free credits for a month so now I can't play with the god machine anymore.
Basically this thing is borderline magic compared to anything else I have used.
I also run AI locally with my 5090 and it's not even remotely comparable. However local is surprisingly comparable to the public free ChatGPT and Deepseek models.

Ironically, those 15 years of bad returns were also because too many people rushed in. Look at MSCI China between January 2005 and October 2007. It fucking quadrupled in less than three years. So yeah, people got overexcited about China and pumped it way above what is was actually worth. It then spent the next 15 years catching up to its valuation.
Now the pendulum has swung the other way and it's time to buy.

If you go the green team, a 5070Ti is a good price-performance ratio while having 16GB of RAM. Don't compromise on the 16GB.
Personally I went with a used 4070Ti Super 16GB, very close in performance while cheaper.

It's not like AI is even done yet. Most of the planet still hasn't started building their own data centers.
And businesses may very well get into building local systems as local AI is quickly becoming good enough.
Hardware prices could realistically just keep on rising for years to come without any sign of slowing down.

After a world cup concludes, market goes green 100% of the time. I made this fact up but supposedly everyone is calling in at major trading firms to watch games. Volume will return Monday as everyone gets back to work.

As always, it depends on your budget. Of course a 5070Ti would also work with such a conf, look in benchmarks how much you lose over a 5080, but it's not that much honestly. As usual, the higher you go, the more diminishing returns you get.
A [whatever]X3D CPU is the way to go, and a 9800X3D is also the one I'd get so it's right on the mark.
128GB RAM is WAY overkill, especially as DDR5 is completely overpriced (alas DDR4 also followed the trend). 64GB will be plenty. Heck, I'd even say for gaming 32GB is good enough, and you can add +32GB in two years maybe if price went down.
4TB SSD would have been okay in other circumstances, at the current prices i'd just grab a 2TB for the system + the current games you're playing, and then use a regular plain old HDD for everything else.

>>62497691
Im starting to have a hunch you just like saying nigger and than a day of the week.

Fuck yea! Saves 1400 and I guess the ram integrates better and should actually be faster. You are a real one.

Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (Unchanged – the absolute best chip on the market for AI turn calculations)
Memory (RAM): 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 (Down from 128GB. This keeps your memory controller running at max speed rather than slowing down to stabilize 4 sticks)
Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (Down from 5080. Saves massive budget with zero impact on simulation logic)
Storage (SSD): 2TB Premium Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD (Down from 4TB. Holds your OS and key games at identical speeds; easy to slide a secondary budget SSD in later if you need bulk room)
Motherboard: X870 or high-end B650E AM5 Motherboard
CPU Cooler: Premium Dual-Tower Air Cooler or 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler
Power Supply (PSU): 850W or 1000W 80+ Gold ATX 3.0 Certified
Case: High-airflow ATX Mid-Tower case with pre-installed fans

You are late. Cocoa futures traded around $5,500 per tonne, hovering near two-week lows, after weak grinding data from Europe raised demand concerns. Cocoa grindings in Europe extended their decline in Q2, falling 4.6% yoy to 316,366 tonnes, the lowest quarterly total since 2020. By contrast, Asia posted a 25.1% increase, while North America recorded robust growth of 7.7%. Europe's dominant share of global cocoa processing meant the weaker data weighed more heavily on market sentiment. The figures reinforced the view that the recent rally was driven primarily by supply risks in West Africa, El Niño concerns, and speculative buying rather than improving demand fundamentals. On the supply side, despite growing concerns about the upcoming Ivory Coast harvest and climate risks for 2026/27, the market still has more comfortable global stocks than those seen during the 2024 supply crisis. Latest data showed ICE-monitored cocoa inventories rose further to a nearly two-year high of 3,225,424 bags.
