This shit is hell. I get around 5 hours of sleep a night and every morning I am immediately filled with utter despair from the moment the alarm rapes me awake.

Humans aren't supposed to live like this.

I'm a neet. I go to bed at 2am and wake up naturally around 8am, lay in bed for another hour and casually stroll out of bed at 9am. Then I stretch/foamroall, brush my teeth, shower, apply my skincare creams, eat breakfast and play video games/shitpost and eat 2 more times until its time to go to the gym at 6pm. I workout, come home and stretch/foamroall/sauna and shower again. Then I eat my last meal, smoke weed out of my bubbler and proceed to play video games and shitpost until sleepy time. I brush my teeth and skincare again, then go to sleep. Sundays I take off from the gym and I get my chores done and otherwise get high and do whatever all day.

I work night shift.

That sounds like something that would make me extremely depressed after about 3 weeks
>>
You wouldn't be staying up late if you were living how you "should" be living because light was super expensive and there was nothing to do

That was basically me for my first few years out of high school before I became a wageslave. I did take technical college classes but that wasn’t much and I still had summers off.
It’s like a melancholic bittersweet depression. You have so much freedom you’re never unhappy, but that freedom leaves you wishing your life was more interesting.
Honestly, you feel the same as a wageslave, but the work itself steals your attention away from it and you become kind of a husk.

I’m an overnight security guard. I get paid to do nothing in an empty office building. Schedule is Friday-Tuesday. First three days are deader than dead. Last two days I might have to validate a few parking tickets from people staying later which is just placing a sticker on their ticket

I work 10am to 6pm. If my commute was shorter, it'd be even better.

I can only sleep if it's daylight outside otherwise I get never ending nightmares. I'm never going to have a normal job, family, or anything worthwhile to live for.
