It was cheaper than petrol back when diesel cars weren't regulated to hell. In the 00s, diesel cars were very common in Europe, at one point I think they were almost half of the marketshare. Nowadays diesel makes sense in utility vehicles, and I include busses and trucks here.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Do you see this price action slowing down? I Was thinking of making a small play in something like CRAK. Obviously I'm a little late to the party but the momentum just seems to big I think there's still some money to be made.

2. Do you think we will see similar high energy prices resulting in demand destruction/recession? Historically in these situations fuel moves to a breaking point in the economy and businesses shutter because transportation/fuel costs make them unprofitable. Then fuel prices plummet because the demand vanished. When do you estimate this starts to become apparent?

diesel looked so good on paper, like it would be cheaper than gas, but then we found out about the sulfur effects, etc, and so processing all that and making it clean effectively cancels out the better energy density. now it's just a more annoying, more expensive gasoline. basically it's only use is so airliners can fly 10k kilometers instead of 8.

>how long does a new refinery take to get online?
Close to 20 years. Zoning fights, EPA studies, fake jew protests paid for by the gas companies themselves. It's nearly impossible to do it.

Rich jews can get a nuclear reactor up in 18 months to power their Mossad surveillance centers because rich jews get what rich jews want in this country. Utility companies average well over a decade and most of them go bankrupt before it ever opens, because the rules keep changing every year. For them. Not for jews.

Jews don't want the US to have refinery capability. Fuel prices have been rigged since the 1980s. It's all bullshit and has absolutely nothing to do with the price of crude. You'd think the goy would have noticed that fuel prices didn't move when crude was "literally free" a while back... but it didn't. And they don't, because they're goy. The jew consider them to be literal animals for a reason, and they're not wrong.

But we can all thank Chuck Jewmer and the rest of the Democrats for blocking the US from filling up the national reserves with $0 crude. Thanks, jews.

Diesel is still king for heavy vehicles like trucks, buses, and trains.
>>62680065
>>62680173
US economy also relies much more on truck based transportation for much longer distances. Europe is dense and even the landlocked countries are not too far from the coast.
Also, European high costs are from taxes, which go back into the economy with infrastructure build out. Meanwhile the US roads and bridges are crumbling and the diesel high costs are not due to taxes.
And then we get into diesel trains. US is so big that you can't electrify some rail lines because of the distances. A lot of materials and products are carried by diesel trains.
And then you finally have the freight ships. The US rivers and canal systems are one of the reasons they became a superpower, and the ships running up and down them are using diesel.
Expect EVERYTHING to become more expensive in the US.

You long-term bullish on oil (say more than 1-2 months from now)? I feel like it's kind of risky since the gulf could technically stop being a hot zone any day, and the price will react instantly, even if oil takes some time to start flowing. I feel like a lot of instability is already priced in, so even if things cool down the price will dip.

>You long-term bullish on oil (say more than 1-2 months from now)?
Yes, I am bullish on oil for the entire next year 2027.

>the gulf could technically stop being a hot zone any day
In my view, it is impossible because none of the main players want it. Israel doesn't, Iran doesn't, the US doesn't. Only the GCC want to stop but they are irrelevant militarily and politically.

>oil takes some time to start flowing
We are talking about 10 mil bpd per day being taken out of the market. Even if oil flows right now, the supply shock is still immense.

>a lot of instability is already priced in
Don't listened to propaganda bro. Last night I watched Bessent and his minions shorted the hell out brent and crude. I watched Saudi E-W pipeline being blown up, which takes out another 5m bpd and no one talked about it. I watched the Houthi took Mocha and landed on Perim like D-Day and still saw shills posting about Saudi victories.
They are repressing oil prices like they did to metals. Shanghai is buying spot for $125+ per barrel right now instead of $100 next week. Either the Chineses are retarded, which is unlikely, or they know the oil isn't going to flow. Also China is buying 30% less oil than last year, so they are actually doing the US a favor right now. Added on with Ukraine hitting Russia oil industry. There are a lot more risks and factors too long to write here. To make it short, I am expecting new floor to be $100 and ceiling can be as high as $200. I am not buying USO or refineries because Trump may be insane enough to implement export control.

Being an oil bull is to fight against the world. I don't expect it to be easy, but I will win
>>
>>62683231
You retard there is an oil glut
>>
>>62683231
You could be right, but it's pretty risky. Ukraine is mainly targeting refineries, meaning Russia can still export its crude (shadow fleet will be conveniently forgotten about again), the strikes will mainly influence gas prices in Russia, not necessarily global oil prices. Saudi east-west pipeline already got blown up, so mostly priced in imo. Iran doesn't have the range to hit much more production that it hasn't already drone blockaded or blown up.

Fracking and EV/renewable adoption is only being accelerated by the typical oil shenanigans. I think in the short-term oil might go up some more, but I'd be pretty surprised if in 6 months oil wasn't lower than it is right now. Also Venezuelan oil will come increasingly online in the coming months, it's mostly offshore so they really only need the (puppet) government's blessing to do so, protestors can't exactly disrupt offshore drilling. As far as China is concerned, they are more concerned with their domestic unemployment than getting oil at a good price. I can definitely see the bull case for oil, but way too many risks for it to be better than alternatives imo.
>>
>>62683250
Source? Is this from Javier Blas again?

>>62683254
Ukraine hitting refineries is actually repressing oil prices. The rest of the world already hit max refinery output and the US is halting maintenance to refine more. They are doing demand destruction on behalf of Israel. But it is futile. The world still needs refined products and the refineries still need oil.

>E-W pipeline priced in.
Absolutely not. People don’t realize how bad that is. Also I don’t see Iran not being able to hit Saudi again. They are attacking the US navy directly and the US air defense is tapped out

>EV
Not significant enough to make a dent on the pricing.

> Venezuela
Almost a meme. Their output is negligible at best. Even if they come online tomorrow , they can barely plug the gap the Houthi created yesterday

>fracking
US shale production is actually going down. They drilled the easiest wells first and the rest have much higher cost of production. They need at least $60 per barrel to break even now. Not to mention the SPR is running out soon.

>China
Yes, their entire economy suck, that’s why they need export more than ever. All of the growth is in export and they need oil for that.

Stop reading msm bro, it’s all faked. Goldman Sach commodities desk just raised oil forecast to $80-85 last week after predicting 60 nearly the entire year. They are all shills. They get paid to lie to you. I am betting my soul on this.

So I'm also long oil but I'm keeping in mind that should we get the "real shit" of price discovery history has show we get a massive run up and then a very swift crash when we reach demand destruction.

What's demand destruction? When it costs more to drive to work that you make in wages. Or when a business's fuel/transportation costs get so high it becomes unprofitable.

I'm just trying to keep in mind that should the real price discovery happen because of physical shortages, there will be a big run up and an equally big crash.

This is the last chance I have to escape from the permanent underclass and this gynozog colony.

>demand destruction
I am aware and predict it will hit maximum price in November or even October. But it won't drive price down because the inventories are already down so much. Even if they open the strait, which is unlikely, it will take a while to drop. Personally, I think oil price will just stay higher for longer. Bro, you don't even know what is going on in MagaTwitter. The average Maga is tweeting like this. They have shills and boosted account posting insane take, like Hormuz oil is mostly back to pre-war level. Saudi lost the Red Sea? Just a trap bro. Oil to $100, the US is insulated bro, it's good for our economy. E-W pipeline is hit? Minimal damage bro, they will fix in the weekend

Best I can recommend you is Accountant. Low Accountant role basically need no education. However, mid to high tier Accountant role is very lucrative. Even if you don't have an accountant background, you can get into a Master program and get the degree in 1 year. Master degree is garbage but it will allow you to sit for the CPA, which is the gold standard. If you pass all 4 sections of the CPA, you are near guaranteed at least an internship in a mid-size firm. 70% of current CPA is dying in the next 10 years and no one wants to be a bean counters these days. I can feel the shortage somewhat because they are making the CPA easier every year

not that houthi advances are insignificant but I think people should be freaking out more about the iran escalations, or maybe people were already at the point of freaking out and houthis advancing just gave them an excuse
>>
>>62685475
Oil prices skyrocketing from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is what's putting the most pressure on Washington. About 8% global oil goes through the Bab al-Mandab Strait off the coast of Yemen. Now that the Houthis gained control of the strait, they will be able to shut that down which makes an already bad situation a lot worse
>>
>>62685534
Also not to mention that the Houthis bombed the shit out of the Saudi east-west pipeline which was supposed to re-route Saudi oil through the red sea and suez canal. Now that pipeline is no longer operational, so Saudi oil is off the market too for the forseeable future. Bad times ahead

>>

I am probably taking profit on BWET soon since shipping fee is reaching too high to make economic sense. But oil price, I am expecting $150. The pipeline is worse than initial report and Saudi Aramco has a lot of contracts due this month. But the big issue is Trump still has 70 mil from the SPR he can release before he needs Congress approval. I don't think he has enough political capital to release more, so I will take profits before it gets there. Big chance he will TACO out because if he does not, oil is going to $200+ since all nations beside China is running out of their SPR
>>
>>62685363
Nevermind, i see that the current excuse is to blame it all on recent Ukie drone strikes on russian refineries
>>
>>62685792
Disruptions to oil and gas exports from Straight of Hormuz were particularly absorbed by global reserves.

Now that reserves are running low, oil and gas should start to become rationed by price.

30% of global export gas used to pass through thr straight of Hormuz. Fertilizer supply already decline following thr war in Ukraine.
Combine that with restrictions on supply of oil, and it looks countries will have to start rationing oil and gas by price.

Isn’t this going to be disastrous for food production in developing nations who rely on petrochemical imports?

Anyone keeping tabs on global yields of wheat and corn? Corn requires more fertilizer so should have increased in price more if fertilizer supply was constrained.

Multifaceted. America has physical control only over the WTI market which is light sweet, broader west has direct access to Brent which is likewise light sweet; both of these have a low sulfur content and thus do not yield much diesel with Brent yielding slightly more. Niether of these markets are physically constrained like others are. The markets that are in comparison relatively heavy sour and thus ideal for diesel production at scale. Local refining capacity is constrained particularly in Russia since America retardedly keeps allowing Ukraine to strike them. Canadian heavy/unorthodox crude and us refineries for that remain unaffected by war or tariffs but they still deal in globally traded commodities and resultant price action.

Countries can limit gas consumption but limiting diesel can only be done by limiting economic output. China put much effort into electrification and battery vehicles but this is most pronounced for private vehicles not for enterprise, fleets, heavy equipment and logistical chains. Those vehicles are heavier and require diesel or for things like medium pickups with multiple engine packages diesel is selected over gas for logistical simplicity or darker COG reasons. Diesel can store longer than gasoline and is kuch better for stockpiling, older engines are broadly multifuel, newer emmissions constrained can still likely run of DODs wierd tactical universal fuels and some of us would need to work in tandem with these forces and their logistical chains in a crisis.

Diesel is the lifeblood of economic activity and thus cannot be constrained, no matter the market behavior, with destroying the economy. It invariably leads to demand destruction but all efforts will be exausted to keep commercial vehicles moving and pass on the price hikes to cxs if the storm can be weathered. From what insider info I am privy to on that side of the market, heavy industrial and construction, I must tell you truthfully things aren't looking good and this is coming from the top. Reversion to normality will take longer than it took to get here and thats the reason we aren't laying off CDLs and operators until absolutely necessary.
>>
goyimbros... we need to pay more for diesel to save israel
>>
>>62689769
I should expand on JP8 in tier 4 diesel engines as this doesn't get much visibility. It will kill modern engines faster due to high sulfur content and engines optimized for ultra low sulfur. Some of the negative effects on pre 2011 can be limited by mixing with commercial diesel fuel and adding lubricants like ATF or oil to fuel to increase lubricity but the navy has been looking into the emission disparity problem for some time for the exact same reason of parallel civilian equipment and have gotten a solution from a third party soon to be implemented.

https://exergipredictive.com/navy-phase1-mdec-project/

Pesumably this retrofit would quell rapid engine and component death of modern diesel engines on military fuel and they even claimed to fix power drops often associated with this combination.

America can only control what people do with American weapons, they cannot tell Ukraine what to do with its own shit
>>
>>62692031
America has immense leverage over Ukraine since Ukraine is extremely dependent on American satellites, which America could cut off at any moment. However, America refuses to use this leverage, which tells you all you need to know about how serious Americans actually are about getting Ukraine to change its behavior.

Besides, it's not really Ukraine's "own" shit. It's almost entirely assembled from imported parts, most of which are made in Europe. Furthermore, what work is done inside Ukraine is almost entirely paid for with European money. So America also has leverage over Ukraine via the leverage it has over Europe.

It still leaves millions of Russians left. The conflict makes rapprochement impossible and the sanctions lock Russia deep into China's economic orbit, which means China now has reliable buffers along its most vulnerable land borders, which means China can focus its military spending on naval and aerospace weaponry that can be used against the US & co
>>
>>62692098

>It still leaves millions of Russians left.
Yes, but the remaining ones are the ones who aren't suicidal maniacs and have become quite good at draft-dodging.
>and the sanctions lock Russia deep into China's economic orbit
There is no path where Russia and Europe still have economic ties in the following decades. With this war of aggression and constant threats, they've proven themselves to be enemies of Europe. It's like saying by attacking Iran Trump has made it impossible for Iran and the US to trade oil - it wouldn't work out regardless.
>which means China can focus its military spending on naval and aerospace weaponry that can be used against the US & co
Under Biden, China seemed to be effectively contained.

Now it's 21 cents higher, and rising, with nothing to stop because obviously the markets are rejecting Trump's Ukraine energy cease fire gambit and nothing driving this rally in the real world has changed, in fact it's all escalating.
>>
>>62692152
Russia doesn't rely on a draft for its war in Ukraine, so I don't see how there's been any selective pressure for draft-dodgers

>no path of rapprochement
Sure there is. It just has to be decided on. A few years of new propaganda narratives and people will change there minds 180 degrees. But I don't think even the best spin doctors could justify a full rapprochement while the war is ongoing.
>>
>>62692226
>Russia doesn't rely on a draft for its war in Ukraine, so I don't see how there's been any selective pressure for draft-dodgers
It has drafted once and is in the talks of drafting again.
>>
>>62692234
Russian officials are explicitly denying any new draft for the war. Maybe they will start to draft for the war, but so far they've only done one small draft in 2022 for the war and none since.
>>
>>62692240
>Russian officials are explicitly denying any new draft for the war.
Protip: they lie all the time.
>Maybe they will start to draft for the war, but so far they've only done one small draft in 2022 for the war and none since.
I wouldn't call half a million troops a small draft.
>>
>>62692258
It was allegedly 300,000 if I remember correctly, although that number could of course be false. That's not a lot in the context of something on the order of a million troops of each side, especially when you consider that many troops get rotated over time. I wouldn't be surprised if most of those 300,000 have already been demobilized, it being mostly a stop-gap measure.
>>
>>62692281
I looked it up, and Russia has a labor force of around 73 million. I guess around 35 million are males. Ukraine drafts people up to 60 years of age, so 300,000 is maybe 1-2% of all draftable males in Russia. That's not a lot of selective pressure in favor of draft-dodging.
>>
>>62692310
There's probably like a million draft dodgers who moved away to Thailand etc. during and after the first mobilisation. If another round comes it could be another million. It doesn't sound like much but given Russia's rapidly aging population, pensions could get fucked.
>>
>>62692329
So for people still in Russia there has rather been a selective pressure against draft-dodging behavior?

Jews are getting raped by this worse than everyone. They originally started this in order to ensure AIPAC has reign for a thousand years, and Saudi Arabia was able to determine who does or does not get to refine oil over the entire planet.

Then the Iran War happened. Every single thing they thought they were getting out of Iran has backfired. Iran is now in a position to become the Oil Barons of the middle east, since they're now the ones that will determine which oil gets to leave the strait. The jews just aren't are smart as they pretend to be. They think they can have their Greater Israel and keep their goypigs on a leash forever. Then Iran starts funding Yemen to rape Saudi oil production, and all their plans fall through.

Just look at this and tell me AIPAC and jews are the winners out of all this. Every person who did this believing that they could profit off short-term oil losses are now in full-blown panic mode as they realize the scale and scope of what they have undone. AIPAC is going to be powerless within the decade as more countries revolt against it, and it has less oil to offer the world in general. The tricks can only go so far.

I'm having both minimal faith and respect for any gov agency at this point. They're unable to do the right move in any case because we're in late roman oligarchy mode. Nethu is in complete power grabbing mode and yes their tricks can only go so far.

People simply noticing at this point are beyond any levels in written record. Jews will not be able to hold power indefinitely unless they'll 'win' by eliminating the rest of us but the pain they'll desire they can 'reflect' onto innocents will be within their own in-group scope. What I mean by this is they can't find anyone to rat together against in effect any more that they've done now. It's topped. The Iran war was completely dead at arrival but the zionist plan also just was forever wars so they'll settle for exactly that.

The anthropomorphic disease should bleed out by itself and the Zionist scope of divide-and -conquer policy won't survive the ascent and/or decent of the chines/iranian/russian axis with the complete production decline of western society. Control can't produce. You need agency but principles dictate what can be done there as well and they cna't engineer any narrative that covers the necessities for survival of the parasitic nature any more.

To complete the current commodity cycle the sconomics dictates an almost complete halt in the dollar purchasing power, which should just decline slowly into near oblivion on a global scale unless something of real, tangible value besides the unit of measure itself. Energy markets can be sliced into tenths before any alternative should be too profitable to restrain and hopefully should arise organically. Dollar#2 can't be sold as any alternative no matter how hard they wish for it. Sumeria did fall. And so did Babylon after that.

At home, materialism will evolve into practical measures.

What will the overlords be able to confiscate to keep the scam go on? Crypto? Not likely. They've sterilized 75% of the white population with the covid vaxx.

*unless something of real, tangible value exists as an alternative* excuse the bad writing

There won't be an direct alternative to the dollar within this decade at least. Bitcoin is also technically unable to do this effectively no matter how many side projects try do use this as a store of value.
