I don't get it. We're supposedly in a crisis. Oil and gas prices are above €2.20. Volatility is going to continue, especially since there's no agreement between the US and Iran. Even if there were an agreement, we still have two more years of Donald Trump and his unpredictability to ensure he doesn't just decide to tear it up. Yet, everywhere I go, I see people dining out and cafes packed to the brim every single week. Not to mention that I still see people driving to work by themselves. There's no carpooling, no public transport usage. People just go for whatever is most convenient, even if that convenience costs more.
And when I talk to some of them, they tell me they have subscriptions to Netflix, Disney Plus, or sports channels. In the best-case scenario, just to save money, they resort to pirate streaming, putting their personal data at extreme risk. But besides that, in many cases they also own money to a bank. How?
>>
>>62764204

Looking at other people spending like that is only going to make me redouble my efforts to be even more self-sufficient and ensure that every single cent of my salary stays in my pocket starting in 2027
And it starts with baby steps. I started by quitting smoking. I stopped making stupid purchases every time I went to work. I don't even watch TV anymore, let alone spend much time on the computer. Most people would say I've completely fried my brain but i just dont give a fuck

Isn't it crazy how AI actually is smarter than 99% of humans?
And it's only just gotten started.

I wonder how smart it will be once they cover Arizona with solar panels, and build 100,000 data centres, and come up with new algorithms and whatever. How smart will AI be once they scale it up 1,000x? And send in 3 million dollars of compute like they did with Navier Stokes, but task the AI on better LLM algorithms instead of a fluid dynamics math problem. How much smarter will LLMs be if they make a Navier Stokes tier breakthrough in algorithmic efficiency?

They made LLMs like yesterday, and they're so primitive. I wonder how smart AI will be after a decade of throwing gradually improving Naviar Stokes tier agents at iteratively self improving. How smart will AI be then?

Oil staying at $100+ for any significant length of time will result in demand destruction and cause it to come crashing down anyway. The most you can hope for is a sudden short-lived spike that you either exit out of with perfect timing, or ride back down to $60.
>>
>>62764516
I tried that for a little bit.
My understanding is that stocks is either gambling or a litle bit of money every 20 years. Funds and bonds are the same, a bit of money every 20 years and nothing else.
Forex, futures, options, and crypto are nothing but gambling. You throw money at it and hope you don't lose everything (which happens for 99% of people). Crypto moreover has stagnated and isn't as likely to give profit as before.
Real estate, venture/angel/startup investment, and similar are for rich people only who have shit tons of money already.
So really, my only option is gambling, huh? Because I don't think I'll live for longer than 10 years from now.

Not gonna lie the app deletion plan fucking worked. I would have 100% sold today and taken the £5k loss but I didn't want to phone my broker pay massive fees and explain to her why I cucked out. It's part of my thesis that they make everything easier for retail because they want you to lose. I stopped using card for the same reason, way too easy to spend without thinking.

the fuck stock is more resilient than goyslop and goyslop distributors for a recession anon?

you are shilling oil and you think we are entering a depression. what the fuck do you think happens to oil in a depression?
>>
>>62764603
So you're in a similar position to me. I'm in financials. AI is going nowhere, just like financials. Just hold.
>>
I'm in these threads every day and every time someone shills a company after they've gone up 300% already they claim that they've hard shilled it before? Are you boys bullshitting or does it all happen when europoors are asleep?

If have to redirect all the electricity to data centres then so be it. It's worth it.

If every ox in ancient Rome had to die for the steam engine it would have been worth it. Even though oxs are useful, a technological breakthrough that starts a new technological revolution is more useful.

There are things that are more important than convenience and comfort.
>>
>>62764619
Hey, if it helps it helps. You know it's the truth, Jeff. Why would they do anything to help the goyim save money?
>>

I'm a Euro and I've seen these recs before. Definitely happens during our hours.
>>
>>62764622

look I'm not shilling MCD because its biggest problem is real estate but you nigger brain retards always fud cheap stuff "because it did bad before" instead of looking ahead instead of behind like a fucking retard

how would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast this morning?

I'll sell you PEP at $140 dude you can buy it after it pumps because then it will be good right

By all means, if you're a dumb goyim then yes. Don't actively trade, don't use a credit card for the rewards, don't do anything at all. You're a self admitted retard that needs bumpers when financially bowling and that's okay. You didn't ask to be born with half a brain.
>>
Is "Personal Finance for Dummies" a good book? What should I read?
Should I just binge read Investopedia?
>>
>>62764633
Is PEP goyslop too? Idk slop is just retail at the end of the day. Some joe's mortgage or gas price goes up a few dollars and they stop buying. Also ozempic is a thing now.

How do you hold these two ideas in your head simultaneously?
>AI is going to become so capable it could exterminate every human
>but AI is not capable of economic productivity
don't you get some cognitive dissonance? These two ideas are contradictory. More, it looks like you're just grasping at straws to justice your bigotry of artificial beings.

I had a quick look at PEP's financials. it actually isn't a bad stock it's just probably overvalued. Why does a soda company have a higher P/E than MU? USA is completely saturated with slop. I agree they won't disappear anytime soon but it's not a growth stock.
>>
>>62764669
Try to get a feel for the market. Ask yourself: Why do people buy gold? Why do people use leverage? Why do people buy oil? Why do people buy crypto? Why do people focus on certain sectors? Why do people buy index funds? etc.

Best way to digest information fast regarding these things is watching YouTube and reading forums.

Find non biased creators that use data to justify their perspective and take everything with a grain of salt.

>>
>>62764681
>Why do people buy gold?
Hedge against inflation. Gold is only useful to protect the wealth you already have, not to build one.
>Why do people use leverage?
To increase profits with money they don't have, but of course you'll suffer all the more loss and go into debt if you fail.
>Why do people buy oil? Why do people buy crypto? Why do people focus on certain sectors?
Gambling and propaganda.
>Why do people buy index funds?
Slow but steady growth, but as I said such a strategy isn't fit for my goal.
>watching YouTube and reading forums.
>Find non biased creators that use data to justify their perspective
Do you have recommendations in mind?
